Omega 231.13.44.50.09.001 wrist watches news:
Was watching a fun Brain and behavior show( forgot the name of it) where basically they say that our pleasure and addiction sensors in our Brains are many thousands of years more evolved or older that the sensors that control our discipline/Delayed gratifications. They first tested the kids with a reward for 3 pieces of cotton candy after 15minutes if the 1 piece placed in front of them was not eaten. Offcourse the much older instincts kicked in and 6/8 failed.Next came the adults about 10 people placed in a room at a table and all were told they'd get paid to review some TV show(I think?). They were told that their Cell phone/smart phone use were not allowed and were placed on a table 10 feet away with instructions that if they broke this rule the consequence was no pay. Again only 2/10 resisted the urge to answer. (Offcourse the testers kept trying to call all of them)Which has me thinking of our addiction. if someone offered you something to not wear a Watch or engage in Watch activi
Our good friend from the forums Submarino has really been cranking on putting up articles on all kinds of watches. He's definitely an AP fan but keeps it very well spread out amongst makers of all kinds...That being said though, this piece he wrote on the open worked is beautiful!.watchcollectinglifestyle....tainless-steel
I am a new on the Breitling part of the forum. I would like to buy a Breitling watch. As to the mechanical chronograph I prefer something from Chtronomat series. If I want a quartz mvt is it wise to chose Aerospace? What is your point of view???
Hey everyone! I'm trying to pick a dial color for my next Rolex (Datejust two tone 116233) and I'm having a lot of trouble getting information on the available dial colors for 2016 models. Even the Rolex website isn't helpful in this regard at all. I'm considering the Steel roman dial because it looks like the whole watch is gold and steel. I've also always wanted the black sunbeam roman dial but that's discontinued long ago and I'd hate to buy a 10 year old new old stock piece. I only want a brand new scrambled serial piece with roman numerals. Any recommendations about which I should get and also a website that actually lists the currently available dial colors. Thanks in advance!
I'm a watch addict. I'm also a perfectionist. Scratches and dings bug me. It is impossible not to bump your wrist during our busy lifestyles. So I keep my favorite Rolex tucked away for special occasions. When I put it on it is always perfect. No scratches or dings. Fortunately I have a fair number of special occasions so it gets used monthly. I own a number of other (non-Rolex) watches that I alternate and maintain at the local watchmaker. He loves my business because I keep the other watches polished and replace crystals as needed. Taking three watches in tomorrow for the usual repairs. My last two Rolex watches went to the AD for service multiple times for scratches before I sold them and purchased a new gold 116233. Am I alone or are there others that feel the same way? Thanks!
