Watch companies are getting keen on blogging. Maybe I have shown them a good example? Different watch brands are experimenting with various ways of doing it, but the best approach is something like Linde Werdelin has done. Sure they could have more posts up and spend more time on it, but they are doing a good job so far with their new blog that details not only the development of Linde Werdelin watches, but the lifestyle that goes with Linde Werdelin watches from the maker and owner standpoint. From your seat you generally only see the "finished product" and the fancy marketing photos that come from the secret watch making lairs - often in Europe. But who are these people? And how serious are they about all the claims they make such as "sport watch" or "1000 meters water resistance." What Rolex should do:Re-design the Explorer as the ultimate tool watch for those of us who don't need polished center links and such. If I were in charge of the project, (I wish), here is what I would do:Build a new platform around a two watch line, GMT version and non GMT version.Use the 40mm Submariner case with perhaps a tegment process like used on Sinn for scratch resistanceWatreproof to 300MUse the old rotating GMT bezel for the GMT versionSmooth brushed bezel for the non GMT versionBlack Maxi Dial with the 6 and 9 in place just like the current Explorer, add a date complication with Cyclops, lots and lots of lume3135 movement in the non GMT with the new Paracrom spring3186 movement in the GMT versionAlso offer each model in a Thermo Compensated Oyster Quartz versionBrushed oyster bracelet with glide lock claspSell the watch in a kit with a rubber strap and tool to changeNot sure what Rolex has planned for the Explorer line, but I figured my two cents would at least get an intere

Greetings, esteemed Members!My beautiful girlfriend, Sarah visited me last weekend from Tampa here in Colorado Springs. We had a fantastic time....btw, we are both excited about attending this Nov GTG in Tampa.We started out at breakfast in historic Colorado City. The weather was fantastic! We then drove through "Garden of the God's" Park. It was breathtaking!Around noon, we went to Manitou Springs and had a refreshment Then we played a few rounds of Skee Ball....yes, she was ready for me to play and stop taking photos We then stopped by Bristol Brewery and had a cold IPA...this is the view of the bottling operation from our seats at the bar:Then it was off to the house so we could sit outside, drink some wine, smoke the sheesha, and have cheese Hors' Devours....We finished off the rest of the weekend sipping coffee at our local coffee pub and doing quite a bit of hiking. What is better looking-older or new style PO?
My buddy and I have been going back and forth on this specific question and I am curious of your opinion. I am wondering which PO you like in terms of looks and looks only. The newer movement and bracelet is out of the picture. Thanks in advance!
