I have an Omega Constellation that I wish to send off to Jesse (Omega564) to get him to service and clean up for me, sounds simple.well not so if you live in Ireland.For the past few weeks I have been in a battle with the postal service in Ireland, first problem they refuse to insure my watch for me in the mail, they have a policy of no jewellery/cash can be insured I tried a few other methods to get the watch to Jesse, anyone travelling to the states and then maybe post it locally..not possible as people not prepared to carry someone else's sealed parcel. Understandable but annoying.Today I got really peeved with making so many phonecalls trying to sort it out that I decided to just post it and not care about insurance, just let my Connie run loose in the world and be at the mercy of the vultures that steal from the mail. Does your watch wear big or small?
Does your watch seem to wear larger or smaller than the factory specs? Lets see why that is. :DAccording to the factory spec for the size of this Edouard Lauzi¨¨res Olympian. Without the crown and lugs the size is 39mm. Yet according to several who have tried one of these on. The watches seems to wear larger. Why is that? Well lets see. :D If you have the chance to measure a watch that wears large or small. How about you folks take a pic and lets us know what the result is? First, a very big thank you to the many who graciously entertained my incessant questions. I heeded the advice of some, and not of others. In the end, I went with what ticked all my boxes in this crazy passion. I've come to realize that what makes sense to some doesn't to others. And, what makes the best investment or has the best downside protection doesn't always equal what we want. Here are the boxes I wanted to tick:Platinum - I wanted platinum. If I got any other metal, I know, for me, I would continue to want a platinum Patek, so I would not have scratched my itch. Mind you, this is to take NOTHING away from any other PM or SS Patek. I put this old girl on this morning! The big Basel news kind of inspired me. Thought briefly about putting my name on the list but alas this isn't going anywhere because it was my first. I know this hobby isn't about need but do I need another Pepsi GMT with a jubilee? This one also does lots of tricks like transforming the Jubilee into an Oyster bracelet and the Pepsi Bezel can become a Coke.All this said!
