Omega 123.20.35.60.02.002 wrist watches news:
Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone suffered a black eye when he was attacked by four men outside his London office around 10:30 p.m. on November 25. His girlfriend was with him at the time. The robbers made off with jewelry – and Mr. Ecclestone’s Hublot – together valued at $314,000. Following the attack, Ecclestone sent a picture of his face along with a short note to Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver. The message said: ¡°See what people will do for a Hublot.¡± Since the two have a great sense of humor, they agreed to make an advert based on the photo and message. This Hublot ad will be a strictly one-off shot, appearing in today¡¯s Financial Times and International Herald Tribune. The ad shows the unretouched “mugged shot”, along with Bernie Ecclestone’s original commentary. The ad also notes that Hublot does not condone this method of acquiring one of their watches.
Press release - C1 Tourbillon GravityWatchmakings free spiritThe C1 Tourbillon gravity is astounding in more than one way. A single blow of eye is sufficient to identify it as a free spirit in the world of Haute Horlogerie. A Tourbillon disconnected from the case, an indication of seconds unusual, a flyback Chronograph, a display of confidence index: this wide range of specific features symbolize the audacity to brand reinvented itself just a year ago.
I know I am somewhat partial since my 5960 has round pushers, but I cannot help but think thatas nice as 5970/5070 are with square pushers, the round pushers just ooze that classic look.3970, 2499 (3rd & 4th series), 5960, 5004, ......hmm. ..hmm......gotta love 'em ;)BTW, I am wearing my 'round pushers' today in the office, just as I type this :)It is obvious that guys that own a reference with round pushers (like me and my 5960) will be biased to those, and those that own square pushers will say otherwise. But I am curious to hear just for fun especially from those guys that do not own any PP chrono,Which type of pushers do you prefer and why ?Have a great weekend everyone !!PS: Arthur, as you can see crazy shirts are not only for 3970 owners :D
I recently picked up a Constellation that I find particularly captivating; The reference, 157.0001, houses one of the more unusual and uncommon movements, the super flat 712, This caliper is part of the the 700-712 series of manual and auto wind omegas from the mid 60s- mid 70s powering some very nice, dress looking, Constellations. This one was produced in 1968. Many were all gold with integrated bands. Most were rectangular or Tonneau, A few, such as this one, were stainless steel. The 712 has the distinction of being the thinnest auto caliper ever produced by Omega, only 3mm thick. The actual manufacture of the movement was done by Edward Piguet/Rayville SA-Montres Blancpain of the then new SSH Group, i.e., today a facet of Swatch that would, in part morph into ETA. That is if I understand the complicated Swiss watch history, and come to think of it, I don't.Anyway, this watch is to my mind, sweet. I love the and simple design. You will notice, "look mom no second han
