- Face looked inexpensive, numbers are light and difficult for me to read. Ordered watch with yellow strap and received green strap. I love disney watches and have several, this one was disappointing.

Omega 1272.30.00 wrist watches news:
Just picked up my dad's two watches from restoration. He passed away about 6 years ago and left me two watches. A mid 50's SS Benrus wristalarm, and a tank style 14K GF Hamilton. Never could remember if he received the Hamilton as a HS, or College graduation present. Never knew which model the Hamilton was (until yesterday!!!). I had the watchmaker remove the back in front of me, it's a Wadsworth!! Dad graduated from HS in about 1942, then enlisted in WWII, then finished up at Marquette in about 1947????. Could someone give me an approximate age of the Wadsworth??? I don't have a S/N. Thanks!!!
My brand new Seawolf stopped after a couple of days of not wearing it. I did the routine thing of manually winding it for 40 turns. To my surprise, when I pulled the crown to adjust the date and time, the cown pulled all the way out and separated from the case. I tried to put it back in and it smoothly went back in. Things seems to be working fine. The crown won't pull all the out anymore. Any experts here could tell me if there's damage internally. Do you guys know why and how this happened? I can't replicate the incident. Should I send it back to my AD and get it cheked or send it streight to Breitling? Thanks in advance for all your replies.
How come people pay so much $ for vintage Seiko divers (such as the 1960-1970's)? Why not just get a new one for much cheaper? They use better movements or something back in the day?
OK, here's a question. When someone gets a new watch, why do we always say:"Wear it in good health".Why wouldn't I wear it in poor health when I'm feeling under the weather? Does wearing it in good health mean I can't wear it when I'm in poor health? I don't know about you, but my watches bring me much comfort. Isn't when I'm feeling poor the best time to wear my watch to help cheer me up? It's like a bowl of warm chicken soup Shouldn't we say "Wear it well thru thick & thin" or "wear it in all health"....Just a mindless afternoon thought
Hi all - thought I¡¯d share as picked it up today when in the window at the AD. It¡¯s the Apollo 17 45th anniversary, and I¡¯m not sure I¡¯ve seen one on here yet.I love it. Not usually a fan of gold, but it¡¯s quite subtle and the blue is dark most of the time and comes to life in the daylight. The ceramic dial and bezel are great, and while it has sapphire it¡¯s nicely done. The adjustable bracelet is the nicest I have got (including my Rolexes) and made fitting a doddle. With all the upticks in spec, I think it was pretty good value although very little discount was available. The box is the usual omega thing, and is a thing of beauty albeit it will be seeing the back of my cupboard....Lots of pics - hope you like.
