New116520 or pre-owned Zenith Daytona?
Hi. I am new here. I have been visiting the forum from time to time and it has been a great source of information. Really enjoying it.I was bitten by the Rolex bug when I was 11 years old and saw the GMT my father's friend was wearing.I bought my first Rolex (GMT Pepsi of course) 20 years later in 1999I currently own apart from the GMT a DJ silver dial, Tudor 94210 silver dial (beautiful watch) and Milgauss GV which I purchased early this year.Here is the question and I would appreciate your help.I have wanted a white dial Daytona almost as long as I have wanted the GMT.A new one is waiting for me to pick up on Friday.Also a pre-owned Zenith Daytona came up from another source at a litle lower price.Love the more classic Zenith but also love the idea of a brand new watch.Cannot have both. Need to decide. what would you do?Pete

OMEGA 3304 movement question
Lately there has been talk about the Omega movements 33xx that are not reliable. Want to know if the 3304 is one of them? The 3304 movement is coming in the new Speedmaster Date models with the registers at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and the date window at 4. The Speedmaster date also comes with registers at 12, 9, and 6 and window date at 3, that model has the 1164 caliber instead.Any feedback on them is appreciated.Thanks

i can't verify the quality of the information contained therein. it seems to be an article concerning IWC. however, there is an interesting peripheral point concerning american watchmaking. there was an exhibition in sydney in 1879. several notable firms entered watches for adjudication. the American Watch Company, Waltham, kicked so much butt, that second place isn't even on the racetrack. now, the judging standards are unknown, and the article notes that IWC didn't enter the time-keeping portion, but others such as A Lange and Louis Audemars apparently did- although this isn't stated, so who knows? if anything, it's an interesting read. gregsteer/IWC/Sydney1879/Sydney1879.html

5980r not winding???
Hi guys,Hopefully this is not another is it safe question 😅.I was setting my 5980, and after finished, changed the crown position to winding, but it felt loose. Like really really loose, no grinding noise like you would normally have when winding.The crown was also returning the other direction when I'm wounding it. (Like a spring like effect)Is this normal??? Should i just keep winding until i hear the grinding sound? Or is this a problem?

Looking for Older Model Datejust - Tuxedo Dial
I am in the market to purchase an older model Datejust with the tuxedo dial. It is not an option that is available on the 2017/18 Model. Just wondering how long ago it was an option, what year it was available. I'm asking so that I know what my chances are of finding a new one.
