- The face of this watch is very nice, but the band is very cheap looking and feeling. I am sending this back. Hopefully they change the band at some point, because the face of the watch is very nice.

Omega 4850.50.31 wrist watches news:
I was in a local pawn shop I frequent and the owner said, here's the deal of the day.... I've been looking for a water watch for when I go to SoCal and surf, board, boat, etc.... If this happens to come off the wrist hanging 10, I won't cry Oh, and it keeps perfect time 20140808_161427_resized.jpg20140808_165245_resized.jpg20140810_165255_resized.jpg
I have unfortunately got some water in my 1967 Omega Speedmaster cal 321, while showering.I took the back off and it has dried out, but it only runs for about an hour before stopping and requiring encouragement to run again. What is the possible damage and what would be advisable to get it running smoothly again? Thanks in advanceDavid KennedyFarnham, UK
Hi TRF,I'm a relatively new member on the forum, but have lurked for quite some time, and have also been in the watch game for almost half my life (which isn't as long as it sounds as I'm a young man, but you get the picture haha). I wanted to talk a little bit about the Rolex Skydweller, a watch that I've always found to be a very fascinating, beautiful, albeit polarizing piece from Rolex. It's a bit lengthy, but I guess I have an extending opinion on the piece I'll start by saying that I am in fact a happy owner of stainless Sky which I purchased not too long ago, so if I sound biased, it may be because I am haha! From what I've seen on the forum (and in the watch community as a whole), the Skydweller is far from being unanimously loved in the same way that say a Daytona or a GMT is; the label lukewarm comes to mind when I see the sentiments on the Sky. I always found it quite interesting that the Sky wasn't as well received and loved as I personally felt it should have been. Without
Everyone has always wanted a steel sub with Blue dual and bezel, The smurf satisfies those with large wallets blue dial yacht master is the humble imitator to the long standing icon that the Submariner has become Blue bezel and blue dial GMT is what I feel will be revealed in a few hours Regards Sean
Hi dudes. I'm going to finally buy my first Rolex, and am torn between a used GMT (Pepsi, 16710 - I prefer a newer, cleaner look opposed to vintage) v. a new 41mm Datejust (blue dial, jubilee). I never thought I would consider a Datejust over a sport watch, but the new 41mm with the jubilee is just gorgeous. With that said, I've always wanted a Pepsi GMT, so it's a true first world problem! My current collection consists of: Speedy Pro, Nomos Metro Datum Gangreserve, JLC Master Calendar, GO Seventies (three-hander w/ blue dial), IWC Le Petit Prince, Tudor Black Bay (Red - ETA), and a trusty SKX009. I don't need the watch to fill a spot in my collection, but context is always helpful.Any advice is appreciated, many thanks.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
