The watches-dealer team has just returned from the 2014 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie watch trade show in Geneva - otherwise known as the SIHH. If you aren't already aware of what this show is about; it is one of a few major watch trade events each year where new products are debuted. SIHH is operated by the Richemont Group and a few other participating brands. There are about 16 brands that show there. The other major Swiss watch trade show is Baselworld that happens later in the year around March - and a lot more brands present there. SIHH is an important event and helps us understand what some of the major luxury brands are doing, and what their focus will be for this year and beyond.While we saw and photographed many new and amazing watches, there are a few that stood out as the top timepieces. a little breitling rant
sent my new steelfish in on oct.1 to have the movement adjusted. it was 25 seconds fast a day. went to carlyles to pick it up. 1st thing I notice is its scratched on both sides of the case, has a chunk out of the bezel, the 5 oclock case edge by the lughorn is chunked. this watch arrived to me on bracelet. it was never swapped out for anything. the caseback is now scratched. kind of wondering about that one considering I sent it in with the sticker attached.:mad: now the nasty part. I unscrew the crown to wind it while in the store. the crown doesn't pop out to the wind position. I have to hunt for it? the nice lady tells me thats normal. I take nice lady to the breitling display and have her get one out and try the crown. bingo! it pops out to the wind position. now she says mine is just tight from the service and will break in? yah right with you on that one lady.:D I call breitling and talk tomargaret. she pulls up the repair order. on it, carlyles wrote, watch running fast, don't r

Please help identify this brand - "dE" or "JE"
I found a watch which has been in my family for a long time (it is at least 15 years old, if not more). The watch's logo seems to say "dE", though its a little hard to decipher since the font is stylized. It may also be "JE". The brandname does not feature anywhere else on the watch and I have not been able to locate this logo anywhere on the web. This is a Swiss made watch. I would appreciate it if someone could help identify the brand. I have taken a picture of the watch band and tried to highlight the logo (though its still a little hard to see). logo.jpg

Hi Guys, Can i check if the previous model of ROO 44mm RG has been continued already. I find the dials for previous model more readable than the new model. Thanks for reply.

Are Pateks collectible?
Are Pateks collectible in general? Or are there certain models that you look out for? The reason I ask is that I was looking through Henry Grave's auction through Sotheby and he has watches that he bought for $40K which are valued at $200K...is this a general theme for most PPs?Say - the Nautilus. In 20 years, will it command a high price?Just wondering. Thanks!
