My Three Month Elgin Project is Done !
After three months my Elgin project is finally done! 1909 Elgin, size 0s, grade 377, HC, 15 jewels, G-S Curv-Tite Crystal, Brown Crocodile Band, Louis XIV hands, Royal Blue numerals and a fresh 14k gold plating.I just got the case back yesterday from the gold plating folks and put it all back together! Had them strip it down to the bone then re-plate in 14k gold including the original crown. I used a low number run (30,000) of an Elgin grade 377 15 jewel gilded movement, completely serviced. At this point the cost was about double over budget for the project so I spent even more on the crystal and a real Crocodile band. The band is soft as a baby's bottom, feels great! Finding the correct size cannon pinion for the Louis hands was the hardest. They were .01 bigger then I thought but it all worked out. Using the G-S Curv-Tite is my latest thing, it gives the illusion of two rows of gold bead minute markers. I love the true porcelain dials! They have that wet glossy look rather than usin

Colt II is in the House!
Hi All, I was so happy to have bought my Rolex, I decided to buy my brother a watch as well. We are super close & I wanted to give him something. He's always wanted a Breitling and admired the Colt a few yrs back. I found a cream one in pristine condition, & if bracelet is the actual bracelet, then the watch would be dated 2005.
