- Although it is a lovely watch it is much to heavy for a women. The picture makes it seem more petite.

- Since I lost my Gucci watch while shopping, I really was hoping to find another as beautiful. The watch I found at smartbargains fits the bill. Both beautiful and very reasonably priced. I am very pleased with my new watch.

Yesterday while at my AD I spied this 1950's cal 89 sitting among a crowd of pre-owned wristwatches. It was almost lost in the crowd. After a night of tossing and turning, I went back and took a look at the movement and other details. The only things it looks like it needs to get it back to more of its original condition is to replace the crown (does not look like some of the original crowns in the archives) and the strap and buckle are not IWC issued at all. I will be in CH in February for my annual ski holiday and will stop off in Schaffhausen to leave it for a complete check up and overhaul. It is running very nicely right now, however. This year has been a remarkable for me. I acquired an Ingenieur, the new Laureus, the new Saint Exupery and lastly the RG Portuguese Perpetual Calendar. The cal 89 will join these new ones plus my 5001. I will get some photos of the movement tomorrow when I go back to the AD to have the case opened for the photo op. Happy holidays to all,Bill
Weird question: It's from the first Rush Hour movie. Alway wanted to know. It is definitely a chronograph, the sub dials are at the 12, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. The brand is at the 3 o'clock position. Also notice the weird dial or whatever on the band. sorry for lousy pictures.
Time for another mini-rant - and we're not talking pirates here.I wear a dress shirt (long sleeve) every day. I have several that have cuffs too narrow to allow you to wear anything other than a super-slim watch. Otherwise, you can't button the cuff! Happened today - again - and it's really annoying. I'm wearing a moderate "normal" size watch with an ETA 2832, so we're not talking thick.Yes, I could've changed my shirt - or my watch - but I was too rushed. Now I have an open cuff. Fortunately, this particular shirt has an extra button in the "cuff slit" that keeps it from flapping around. Thanks for letting me rave away.
Hey Guys:Here is a link to the store listings on eBay for Beverly Hills Jewelery:stores.ebay/topgen/_i.htm..._pgn=1&_ipg=48They seem to always have a good number of vintage Omegas. Many are models that I never really looked at before. The only one that I did bid on, I got outbid at the buzzer. However, I did win a nice Seiko 5 Day/Date at a fair price and the service was great.Hope it helps if you're in the market.....
