Submariner - Noise after service
Hey everyone,I took a ~27 year old Submariner Stainless (transitional period model) in about 16 months ago and it was sent to Rolex for factory service. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago when the watch simply quit altogether. I took it back to the jeweler that originally sent it to Rolex and their in-house jeweler opened it up to see what was wrong and did something to fix it.Now, the watch makes an odd clicking noise if you shake it lightly and if you shake it more vigorously you can hear a whirring noise that sounds like what I think a noisy winder might sound like.Now, I've had the watch for ~17 years of it's life and have never heard a peep out of it excpet for the slight ticking that can be heard if you hold it up to your ear in a quiet room. This clicking and whirring can't be right, and so I'm taking it back in, but I'm curious what the noises might be.Thoughts?

After a 4 day voyage all the way from Japan, my new Seiko 6R15 SARB045 is finally here! So I've been contacted by a scam artist...what do I do?
So i put one of my watches up for sale on Kijiji hoping to gather funds to buy a Rolex Air-King. I am at school in Cambridge, MA right now but I posted it in Ontario, Canada because thats where I'm from and I go home about every 5 weeks for a weekend, plus kijiji is very popular in Canada. Anyways, I immediately received an email from someone stating that they are a local business owner wanting to buy my watch as a nice retirement present for one of his employees. He said as long as the watch ends up being as advertised that he would definitely buy it. So, doing my due diligence, I googled his name. STEVE FRANCOEUR. Google the phrase "Steve Francoeur Windsor" and see what comes up. Scam after scam after scam, all involving watches! He took a Sea Dweller, a nice Tag, a Breitling, etc. He gave people some song and dance about his wife being sick in the hospital and then made up emails pretending to be his daughter and saying that he had died of a brain tumour and thus she was in too much

Stem and Crown Issues
Many here have complained of stem and crown issues on larger watches, particularly Invictas with the SW 200 movement.Croton's boss David Mermelstein addressed this issue in a backhanded way today on TV saying his company had taken extra care to protect the stem in a small skeletonized movement fitted into a 46 mm case.So the issue - with any of these movements - isn't the movement, it's the case size relative to the movement.Now, I could go on a tear about why a certain company doesn't address that situation as well, but I'll just leave it at this.

I had tried both models on long before I purchased a 41 but was wondering why Rolex decided to dump the II for the 41 ? The hour makers on the II dial seem bigger than on the 41 which I like ,, what other differences are there between the two. The 41 rides the wrist much better than the II IMHO...
