The Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture Gets 2 New Looks
For years, one of the signatures of Ulysse Nardin has been its fine GMT watch. The Dual Time models have a legible dial with just two center-mounted hands, making for a simple, intuitive reading of the time in multiple locations. In 2014, the brand re-released the Dual Time with an important advancement: an in-house movement produced in UN’s Le Locle factory. At this year’s Baselworld, the brand added two more versions of the Dual Time Manufacture, including a nautically-themed limited edition. Both new versions of the Dual Time Manufacture come in a 42-mm gold case. It is water resistant to 30 meters. The watches maintain the dial layout of their predecessors: local time is shown by the center-mounted hour and minutes hands, with small seconds at 6 o’clock. Seamaster problem
I have a Omega Seamaster (2254-50-00) purchased in Feb. 2005. Stopped back during the summer. I recently took it to the local Omega Repair in Marietta and they are telling me it needs a complete overhaul for $395.00.Plus the bezel spring needs to be replaced for $45.00. I think I am being sold a bill of goods. After it stopped I pulled out my 25 year old Rolex GMT and started wearing it again! Don't get me wrong I love the watch and never had a problem with it before it stopped. What are my options. Thanks

Buying counterfeit products - a "game" that¡¯s not worth the effort July 04, 2008 New legal provisions in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy entered into force this week. Henceforth, the import of products in violation of trademarks and designs is prohibited in Switzerland, even for private use. At border check points, customs officials can confiscate and destroy counterfeit products, including those not intended for commercial use and regardless of their number. People purchasing counterfeit watches, fashion articles, handbags, etc, are therefore at risk of a nasty shock when the said items enter Swiss territory. To coincide with the entry into force of these new legal provisions, the Swiss anti-counterfeiting platform Stop Piracy, the Central Bureau for the control of precious metals (customs), the Swiss Federation of Watch Manufacturers¡¯ Associations (FH) and the Swiss Anti-Piracy Association (SAFE) conducted a joint operation to destroy counterfeit watches and pirated DVDs.

It¡¯s time to say goodbye
I have about a week left with my Yachtmaster, it¡¯s been my one and only for a long time, I¡¯ve enjoyed the great times but unfortunately, its time to say goodbye. Next week something more stealthy, more tool, sportier and less flashy will arrive. Yachtmaster is a great watch but its time to move on. I¡¯ll post some photos I took on the past years of the YM.
