I bought this watch back in early 1980 when gold was at an all time high($849) for scrap.The case and dial were in decent shape, it ran, and came with a black round pocket protector case.I didn't have the heart to break it apart, and send it along to its certain death According to the serial #, it was made in 1925, 12s, 17j, model #3, 345 grade.

New incomming - who to share with?
First off I know it'll be worthless without pics and it may be a while since it's supposed to take 4 weeks until it arrives, but here's the story, and can you guess what it is? Not Dennis,( he already knows).About 4 years ago my wife turned forty and she had always hinted that her wedding ring wasn't as big and shiny as some of her friends'. I was unemployed at the time we got engaged and had to use savings for her ring. So I saved for a year and presented her with a watch my sons picked out and the monies to buy a new bigger ring. She ultimately declined but I always kept the offer on the table for a ring or whatever she wanted.During those four years I tried getting her a "nicer" watch which included two Michelle and a Tag, none of which really excited her.Recently she started looking while I was looking at watches for a nice one of her own.Ultimatley she decided on a Rolex, but she couldn't find the right color/bracelet combination, and she wasn't super excited until two days ago

About to pull the trigger on my very first AP (42mm ROO Slate Gray/ gray themes). The only hindrance that is letting me think twice are the ff:1) that the SS Bezel is a scratch magnet (what's your take?)2) issues regarding the movement (either too fast or too slow)*live in Manila, Philippines and to service an AP here takes around 2-3months turnaround since they will still take it to AP Singapore.
