- I love this watch; it's an amazingly affordable alternative to a ceramic version, while still looking rich. I love how the black offsets the rosegold, and love the crystal settings in the watchface. BEAUTIFUL!

Omega 1122 wrist watches news:
...or my scale is wrong.
Hi All,I finally got around to snapping some photos of my Hamilton watches. Nothing spectacularin fact, sorry that they're not of very good quality. But without further ado:14k Vintage 1960s Hamilton Masterpiece. (currently up for sale in the Sales Corner)Showing off the distinguished elevated crystal unique to vintage timepieces:My broken Hamilton Khaki. I love the simplistic design of this watch. If only the movement was a little sturdier...Wristshot of it on a standard US military strap.Lastly, the timeless Hamilton Ventura remake. With crown up, it looks like a shieldCrown down, a fat cockpit with mini wings (or flying acorn as I'd like to call it)So much can be said of the elegance of case construction. I LOVE this view of the watch:Too bad my camera (or shall I say, my school's camera taken home for personal use ) doesn't have a super macro feature, as I am unable to show off the Ventura's dial. In my opinion, the dial art is a contemporary masterpiece! Thanks for looking!
Just looking at movement numbers and notice all the 186 and 1861s have the movement number stamped/engraved on the same particular part. Can you tell me what this part is called? Is it the wheel Bridge? I know it seems an odd question, but for my own education, isn't this part made and stamped independently and then most likely thrown into a parts bin to be pulled out at some point in the future when the movement is being assembled - if this is so then a 33.XXX.XXX movement may be in stock a year or two before say a 29.XXX.XXX which is finally pulled from the parts bin. Just throwing it out there. So, on this basis, an Omega movement number is no real guarantee of year just a range of production within a range of years. Yes? No? Like to hear your thoughts on this small distraction?
Happy Weekend All,Just published a new story on my blog Watch Patina. It's about a first major watch purchase that happens to be a Panerai Here's an excerpt: Most people cut back on Starbucks to save up for something they want. For Marcus, it wasn¡¯t lattes that were the problem, it was all those designer labels he thought he couldn¡¯t live without. Time and time again he bought clothes as a way of compensating ¨C subconsciously ¨C for the missing watch in his wardrobe¡Click title below for full story.
