A Couple of Questions About Vintage Omegas I Acquired Yesterday
Yesterday I acquired an extremely fine condition Omega DeVille Prestige (Caliber 1532) with all the original packaging. It is in a stainless case with gold bezel and two tone bracelet. According to the Omega Vintage pages on their website, the Caliber 1532 was introduced in the 1994 DeVille and the 1995 Constellation. Identifying it was easy of course. My question is, how many years was the Caliber 1532 used in the DeVille Prestige?Another find yesterday was a solid 18K gold Omega ??. It has a Caliber 266 movement with a serial # of 14581123 (1954). The caseback has some warn markings in a group that are difficult to read completely.Line 1 - 750 in a rectangle (We know what that means)Line 2 - 277 18K (the 2 is very faint but is probably a 2)Line 3 - DUSTRIA (the D could be an O but I doubt it)Line 4 - CENTINA (the A is very faint)The face is white with thin rectangular gold markers. another newbie cant decide on a sub
hello all, ive been lurking, and viewing old threads so instead of posting on super old threads i thought i would create a new one, get some insight from people like me reading and studying everything you can as well as the experts who just know more.ive never owned a rolex nor known anyone who has, though lately i have been on a huge rolex kick, opened my eyes to a great watch which at one time i probably didnt respect too much, but after much understanding of the history and quality i just gots to gets me one.ive been to the rolex AD's and tried everything i liked, and have narrowed it down to a stainless sub. though im starting to think the one i want doesnt exist and dont know if it will ever.i like the face and simplicity of the no date 14060m , however im one who just loves the new maxi dial, supercase, and ceramic dial. of the gmt2c that my AD had, (which to my understanding is also on the new date sub coming out) and i absolutley love the new bracelet, over the old style.doe
