Ulysse Nardin 136-91c-8c/06-02 wrist watches news:
News about this Casio watch concept has been everywhere. People seem to be more excited about what it is able to do than Casio is. This is partially evidenced by its circa 1987 G-Shock design. This however is a mere prototype - meant to show off the concept. That concept being the ability for a watch to sync via Bluetooth with a phone - and not have pathetically poor battery life in the process. Sure this Casio Bluetooth watch isn't the first timepiece that allows you to connect your phone to your watch, but all of those previous watches needed to be charged really frequently. This watch would need a battery change each two years like a normal (non solar powered) Casio quartz watch. The secret? Something called BLE, which stands for Bluetooth Low Energy. This new profile requires much less energy to move information from two Bluetooth connected devices. Though I did also hear that this is a feature of Bluetooth profile 4.0 - something that is currently not available on any phones. So wh
The next Marvin watch I review and present to you is this interesting Model M112 watch. The retro roots of the brand and design are very evident here, but the modern elements of this watch are unmistakable. This is one of the most interesting modern/retro hybrid watches I've ever seen - and I really like it. Like other Marvin watches, the timepiece is deceptively simply - a feat that is very difficult to achieve actually. You see, the most simple watches that you are familiar with probably greatly enjoy, actually can require the most amount of design time. It is very difficult from a design standpoint have minimalism equal functionalism, as well as have an element of traditional familiarity. Good?? for Marvin that they were able to borrow a bit from classic watches from bygone eras.Like certain watches from the 1960's the silver dialed watch is devoid of numbers. Instead, you are to navigate the dial with your eyes looking at applied polished steel hour markers with polished steel han
Where do I even begin to discuss the M33? When I first saw the L¨¹m-Tec M33, lurking in a watch forum somewhere, I immediately knew that I had discovered something special. When browsing watch sites and forums one tends to see similar trends played out in only a handful of ways, but the M33 really stood out as a unique take on the phantom watch. At the time, I had not heard of L¨¹m-Tec, and upon surface digging about the brand, I was amazed at what I saw. A small and relatively young Ohio based brand dedicated to affordable and unique limited edition watches built with the highest standards. A brand that posts designs on forums, takes feedback directly from consumers, and tweaks their designs accordingly. A watch brand that, in ways, embodies what we here at W&W believe watches are about: style, quality and value. ?So, I knew this was a watch I needed to add to my collection.Case: 316L Stainless Steel with Titanium Carbide dark charcoal PVD hard coatingMovement: Miyota OS20 Quartz Ch
So my buddy Pete's first nice watch was a Speedmaster Professional with a display back. What a beautiful watch! Anyhow, he's been looking for a "pre-moon" Speedmaster and finally found a sweet cal. 321 on another forum for the right price.Poor guy was stuck with two speedmasters! Being the great friend I am, I decided to help the poor guy out and take the original one off his hands! Pics below are of shortly after he bought it. He has HUGE wrists and was waiting for links he ordered to come in. . .that's why it's on leather in the pics (I think it looks nice though). UNFORTUNATELY I don't have any of the paperwork, so i'm not sure what caliber it is (861?) or the reference number. Anyone have a clue? Onto the pics (i'll take more on the bracelet later in the week):-James
My brother was wearing this Rolex today. Despite the bustle about the DD40, I am impressed with size of the head. The diagonal motif of the dial is also really something else. It has the looks of a burgeoning youth while at the same time maintaining the distinct superlative look of the President. I might make the DD40 my next purchase :)
