Omega 1910172 wrist watches news:
A new Rolex "only" store has opened in Philadelphia. Govberg Jewelers at Comcast Center will carry only Rolex and according to the owner, Danny Govberg states "The Comcast Center is a state-of-the-art building, and the best of what our city has, so we decided to sell the number one watch in the world".The store will carry approximately 400 timepieces and is about 900 square feet with white marble walls and "minimalist" lighting. I haven't been to the store yet, but will report back once I visit.

Just today the owner of a Patek 5167 discovered he just happened to own the rarest 5167 dial known to exist. The issue came to light when discussing dial differences on a forum called TRF just this morning. Where all other Patek 5167's have Swiss Made at the bottom of the 6 marker, this one does not have the label at all. This revelation was called stunning by some and some News agencies and some Patek owners where said to have been so excited some just lost all kinds of bladder control.Owner is said to be extremely happy and may lose bladder control as well.Anyway we believe this watch will most likey to equal if not exceed all known records for the most expensive watch ever known to man when and if the owner ever decides to sell it at auction. This is a picture of the Patek 5167 in question.
I was unsure of the size of this one at first, 43mm and a hair tall. I went into a local AD as I had been eying up this one and the chrono black bay. The chrono I passed on as it was a bit too blingy for my tastes (I could never get on with the black bay's extra shiny hands and lume plots, they lack the 'depth' of the older rolex white gold surrounds). Also the snowflake hands over subdials seemed like a careless oversight, from a functional point of view. I opted for the LHD. I'm not of the camp that calls it a faux patina watch as I think that was not the point, rather the warmer looking lume plots make the watch a little less 'sharp' or edgy and fit nicely with the red pelagos text and beige date wheel. All in all a very well designed and executed watch with some unusual and interesting appointments. It's also very comfortable to wear. Keeper? Time will tell...
