First Oris - Bad luck!
I have not worn a watch in years but for some reason recently decided that I wanted one. After a bunch of research (and learning about so many cool watch brands that I had never heard of) I decided that I probably wanted an Oris Divers Date with SS bracelet and a blue dial. I really wanted a SS bracelet and blue dial watch from one of several brands but none of the Tags looked good to me in my price range ($1200 max) and everything else I liked was too expensive. (I really liked a Limes watch but you can only get it on-line in Houston!) It was also important that I get this watch at a local AD since, for me, it was going to be a large sum of money and I wanted to ensure that I had a good warranty. My wife and I saw the Divers Date at the Tourneau shop in the Houston Galleria and decided that we liked it, however, that being the first stop we decided to look around some more ultimately returning for the Divers Date. I did try on an Omeda Seamaster which was very nice but at $1500

.....boy oh boy .......I didn't think they'd get here that fast, but just on the off chance they might, about 7 tonight I checked the box that our mailman puts small packages is ......and there.....were 2 ! ......I got the Enicar and the Benrus from one guy, and the other one that arrived is the 60s Hamilton Illinois.......and they look much better than in the photos.......and so far I have just given them a quick lick and a promise of a crystal polishing .....and whoopee ! ...the Hamiltons crystal was very clouded looking, you could barely make out the H & I names on the dial .....and with just that quick polish, it's about 80% better .....and the scratches on the Enicar are almost all gone .....and the Benrus is nearly perfect anyway .....the Enicar, if it is aluminum, is never the less, a beautiful watch ....very clean dial, case and now the crystal is looking very good too, and it is a thin watch ........I don't like the leather band it has, the watch is very bright and light

AP Royal Oak 15300 Fit
Hey Everyone:I'm in the market for an AP Royal Oak. Either 15300st or 15400st.Unfortunately, the only AP dealer in town has sold out of 15300ST models so I have no way to see if the 39mm case will fit me.Anyone know how the AP RO fits (larger, same, smaller) compared to any of the standard 40mm Rolex models (GMT II, Sub, Expl II) as I do have those watches to compare to.Regards,M

Is 10% worth pulling the trigger early?
Hey everyone, new to the forums here!So I just turned 25 and have been ¡°window¡± shopping to figure out what Rolex I want to pull the trigger on. Initially I was glued to a black SS submariner date, but started to wonder once I really started to do my research. I fell in love with a Daytona and new it would take at least a year or two to get one from my AD, so decided to go in and start the process. He actually had one in the back (obviously already sold) and let me try it on. Don¡¯t get me wrong, it is an amazing watch and I could totally see myself getting one, but actually fell in love with the rhodium yachtmaster. Which leads me to this week: my AD called me and asked if I wanted to come in again. I asked what his best price would be because this all started when I was planning on purchasing the Daytona (which would be at least another year). He came back with $10.3k cash.Is this worth pulling the trigger now? My worry here is if I don¡¯t how long it would take to get one when I
