It's Dive Time!...WARNING...Vintage Golden 1000m SQ Tuna Content!
I guess I'll start this "oldies but goodies" diver post off with a more than capable professional diver. (I promissed Bullosa to post this watch and I'm sure he's waited patiently.)So without further delay, here's my Seiko SQ 1000m 7C46 SBDS018 Golden Tuna below. This being my 3rd example I've owned now, it's really a very nice condition huge chunk of Titanium Nitride coated Ti steel alloy designed for commercial diving duties and ISO rated and tested to 1000m and beyond. The 7C46 Hi torque multi jeweled movement is designed for the rigors of pressure and temperature changes, as well as being fully anti-magnetic and accuracy is tops in any watch I have ever owned and timed for long duration periods of time. The thick Hardlex crystal is super clear displaying the richly generously filled markers and hands with the nitro glowing lumenova which is the brightest and longest lasting lume I've seen personally to date. The watch is also impervious to the effects of mixed gas diving and is ful

Hello, I asked about this a while back. Are Molnija pocket watches worth ~$25-30?Such as this one:cgi.ebay/Russian-pocket-w...item1e58c102b8Or other Russian watches (since they are cheap...) like this one:cgi.ebay/Rare-Russian-USS...item27ac58b201(Obviously not rare..)My major question is:Can I expect it to keep accurate time for a day? Will it last me over a year?Currently, I have a vintage Wesclox Pocket Ben pocket watch (I actually found a matching Baby Ben Alarm Clock a while back...). At its fastest setting, it is loosing 12 minutes in a day. It probably doesn't need any work, but it is older (1960's), and it has no jewels and as probably just wearing down. I can not wear a wrist watch (a shame, I know) but I enjoy mechanical watches greatly.

Omega Speedmaster: underwhelmed
I've been eyeing an omega speedmaster as a potential addition to the collection and was able to try on the mechanical 42mm and automatic 44mm versions this past weekend. Both on black leather omega straps. They wore quite well, despite the larger mm size (I wear a GMT 16710 and sub LVc), but honestly they didn't really do much for me. I was a bit disappointed, given the speedmaster's iconic status. Not sure what exactly was missing. Anyone else have that reaction to a speedmaster or omega?The search continues!Thanks.
