In considering 5116 vs 5119, I find myself wondering, why bother?Yes, I know enamel dials are labor intensive, explaining the added cost, but why should I care? I've read about finding 2526s with enamel dials that are cracked, while ones with pristine enamel dials are very valuable, but if they crack so easily, what's the fuss about, besides making vintage collector's happy when they find a well preserved one because they are rare?
Hey guys! This is my first post ever I believe in this section of the forum and I am excited to say I'm looking to add my first Patek to my collection! I have wanted a blue dial 5711 since I started collecting and I am finally in a position to make it happen. Unfortunately as you all know its not an easy watch to find at retail price. So I am in the process of reaching out to every AD in the country to try and find the shortest waitlist. After my first day of trying i got on 5 wait lists and still waiting to hear back from a few places I contacted. I am hopeful that the wait wont be too long but who knows . So my question to all the 5711 owners is: When did you get your watch and how long was your wait time for it? Thanks everyone and I'm excited to join this side of the community
Please I need some input, what kind of Rolex do you all have and what is the avg rate of seconds gained or lost per day. I have a two tone Sub 116613 and my rate is about +2 seconds a day. my sub 116610 SS is about -2 seconds give or take a sec. My question is, is this the avg for everyone else as well? do i need to bring it in to have it looked at? thanks a bunch everyone!
