Omega 2531.80.00 wrist watches news:
I cannot find the Security coronet on my Rolex GMT 2,116710LN I have tried everything. Have all the papers and cards etc .Any help would be appreciated.
Hello :)Thinking of getting an old watch in the family serviced. It was bought 42 years ago & never been serviced before (I know I knowbut still runs great )So anyway I know its complete provenance for a fact that it's completely original in every respect, which I am aware is considered desirable for a vintage watch. The dial has some minor signs of age, unsurprisingly, but nothing that seems too bad. Is it okay to allow the dial to be touched up, or fully restored, or is it wiser to leave well alone? What are the general ground rules?
Guys, I really love the look of the Ceramic Diver but I have fears about cracking the case and/or chipping the ceramic. I've seen a few ceramic bezels on here that have chips in them. Where SS can be buffed out, ceramic requires replacement. Please chime in if you have had a ceramic piece from AP chip on you.
I am really close on picking up a 5146, a watch that has been on my Grail list for quite a long time!So far the problem has been trying to finding one at an AD so I can actually try one on and compare! Finally after months of visiting Ad's and Second Hand dealers I came to one conclusion and that was that I really liked the Cream Dial! However, I am really stuck between the color of Gold that suits my style! I am in love with both the WG and YG for different reasons. I find the WG to be under the radar and simple enough to wear with anything. Yet I find the YG really stunning and it really pop's the dial and show's it real beauty. So could you please share your opinion on which one looks better on my wrist and also your thoughts as to which one would stand the test of time in the long run.thank you for looking.
I was wondering if anyone can answer a specific submariner history question. The first submariners were unveiled around 1954. They have always been black or blue, with the exception of the two special green ones I think. Currently, there are eight models in production and they are all 40 mm case diameters. I believe there are twenty-one discontinued models. Of those discontinued models of the submariner, were they all also 40 mm case diameters? Not sure why this popped into my head, but now that I cannot find the answer it is bugging me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
