Tempest Carbon Review
It wasn't long ago, a few weeks in fact, that we took our first look at a Tempest watch, the Commodore. Right out of the box, it impressed me with its thoughtful design and great execution. The fairly modest price of $638 for an all titanium diver with a solid titanium bracelet was impressive too. Well… shortly after publishing that, the owner of Tempest, Ben, wrote me something along the lines of "hey Zach, want to review a prototype of something really cool I've got in the works?" To which I responded, yes.What arrived was the new Tempest Carbon, a watch that is going to turn a lot of heads. As you've probably already deduced from the pictures, the case of the Carbon is… well, forged carbon. This is a material I've yet to encounter in the 3.5+ years we've been running worn&wound, at least not on an accessibly priced watch. The one I liked best was the ref. 5170:The watch has - other than the previous ref. 5070 - a manufacture caliber. It is still handwound, and I am happy to see that the diameter went down from 42mm to 39mm. The writing on the dial "Gradu¨¦ pour 15 pulsations" isn¡ät as bad in reality as it is in the pictures, just like the writing on the Rolex Deepsea The ref. 5205 was also new:It is an annual calender in a classic Calatrava-case. The dial layout reminds me of the legendary ref. 5033 Also new - even if it¡äs just the color - was the ref. 5140 in blue:It is a 37mm watch in a platinum case with perpetual calendar and automatic winding. 15202 sizing
I have an offshore on hornback that I keep considering trading to something less substantial like an aquanaut or 15202. My wrist is on the smaller side, but the hornback works ok since it is flexible. I tried on the 15202 and despite it being much smaller, fit more awkwardly due to the stiff bracelet. It doesn't really hug the wrist but kind of sits raised if that makes any sense. Obviously could not size it to try it on properly, but does the 15202 actually need a thicker wrist to wear due to the bracelet than the offshore?

First Panerai questions
I've gotten a quote for right at 20% off Elementsin Time NYC on a PAM312. That was their first offer so thought I'd ask if it's the norm to get a little more than that off Panerai's site? Does this model have any downsides for a first purchase in any of your opinions? I really like just the plain PAM 112 but also like case back crystal and automatics in general; although, I could see myself being perfectly happy with the manual wind 112 if that makes any sense. Would be more of a connection with the watch to some extent. Any opinions or thoughts greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time!Alex

Oysterflex bracelet question
If I were to buy a TT Datejust 41 with an oyster bracelet; how difficult would it be to get the oysterflex bracelet and switch them out depending on the situation?I like the look of the TT Daytona with the oysterflex, but would like to see that same look in a Datejust 41. Am I crazy?Thoughts?
