Omega 231.10.42.21.02.001 wrist watches news:
For everyone who’s ever read a watch test or review in WatchTime and wished they could test their own timepieces for accuracy at home ¡ª and without making the major investment of a Witschi timing machine ¡ª Geneva-based Lepsi has an ideal stocking stuffer: the Lepsi Watch Scope, essentially a stethoscope to read the “heartbeat” of a mechanical watch. The Watch Scope is a compact device (retailing for 369 Swiss francs, that syncs with your smartphone to measure a mechanical watch’s vital stats ¡ª including rate variation, amplitude and beat error ¡ª in just seconds. Best of all, it is small enough to carry around with you, meaning you can actually bring it on a trip to a retailer to measure the accuracy on-site of a timepiece you’re considering purchasing. To use the Watch Scope, you first need to download (either from the Google Play or Apple App store) the Lepsi Watch Scope app for installation on your smartphone. Would one of you esteemed Hamilton nuts please advise me the model number of this Hamilton? It would also be nice if you could post some specs on it, so I don't have to look it up. This was taken from our very own Watch you wearing thread last night. I must admit, this is a nice, masculine diver! To think I thought Hamilton only made diminutive chronos with the Day/Date in the wrong spot, and art deco watches!
My Modalo (wind 2+2 and store 6) has arrived. My question:I have set it to wind for 2 minutes in one direction - then 6 minutes pause - then wind in opposite direction for 2 minutes - then 6 minutes pause.A 2 minute period wind gives about 13 turns. If I count right its about 100 turns per hour or 2400 turns per 24 hours.Does that sound reasonable? How many turns per 24 hours do you give your watches? Looking forward to your replies. To comment on some things discussed in my previous thread about magnetism I give this early on info:Its new - so its dead silent when lid is down and my ear is 10 centimeters away. Its new - so nothing falls off so far and my Sinn U1 is about 210 grams. Maybe its only because its new or maybe there has been some amount of product development - compared to early Modalos - the future will show and I will report eventual shortcomings. My question to the Modalo-seller about magnetism is yet to be answered. What did I expect - this isnt Orbita. Best Regards
