Who the sends something UPS signature required to a home address during the week?This seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

This very week the anniversary of the Edict of Nantes is coming round for the 411th time.It was on April 13, 1598 or on April 30, 1598 (sources differ on the exact date) that the king of France, Henri IV signed the edict.With his signature the king pronounced the end of the religious wars which had ravaged the country. The protestants were re-instated as subjects of the crown and awarded the same civic rights the catholic subjects had enjoyed un-interruptedly. Most clock makers were protestants and had fled France to Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands some years earlier. A great many of them decided to go home to their native country again. It is how France became the number one time keeping device country again.It was the revocation of the Edict of Nantes by one of Henry IV's successor, the famous Louis XIV in 1685 which lead to a new exodus of the protestant clock makers to Switzerland. And this exodus permitted the Swiss to lay the foundations of their own watch

just ruined the sapphire crystal on my Breitling Bentley Motors Special Edition watchwhile cleaning..I was using vinegar and baking soda to clean the stainless steel strap of the watch, aswell as liquid soap. I got some baking soda on the crystal.. and then some viegar.. and now the crystal is blurry!How much do replacement crystals cost!, and how much would a jewler charge me to do it.Is there any way i can buff it?, its not very blurry but it looks as if there is condensation on the watch.. please help!!!

Selling my Omega Seamaster Pro Quartz. The blue bezel and blue wave dial are just such a great combo, along with the whole design of the watch. Sold mine for less than $1,000 and thinking about going to an AD and buying a new one for retail, $2,050. That makes a lot of sense.I am posting this thread in case any of you Omega owners are considering selling your Seamasters. If you have the slightest doubt, do not sell it! HOLD ON TO IT! Take it from someone who made the wrong decision. Happy holidays

Gave up on the Daytona, got a sub instead
Stopped by my AD to tell him to take me off the waiting list for a Daytona C and to my surprise this TT blue Submariner was in the case. It had just come in yesterday and was supposedly already allocated to some one else. But the AD said since I had bought there before and was local I could have it. I did find out that the warranty info is now sent to Rolex before the sale is complete and the sales person insisted on taking off the remaining stickers (most were already off anyway). They also had a Hulk but I liked the blue better.
