Omega 222.18.46.50.01.001 wrist watches news:
Though the tourbillon's rightly associated with the name of its inventor, A. L. Breguet, it is also associated, in the minds of many students of its history, with another name: Girard-Perregaux. One of the greatest practitioners of the art of tourbillon making was Constant Girard, who founded Girard-Perregaux in about 1852, and who invented a configuration for the tourbillon that still influences tourbillon design today: the tourbillon under 3 bridges, often gold. One of the most legendary of all these tourbillons was the one know as "La Esmeralda." 1 OF 5 2 OF 5 The tourbillon known as "La Esmerelda" has had an interesting life. Well, you asked for it. You got it. Today we are proud to launch an entirely new HODINKEE original video series. We're loosely calling it "Talking Watches," and these videos are just that: us, talking watches with our friends, new and old. Basically, we will use these monthly – yes, you'll get a new episode each month from here until eternity – videos to give you insight into the minds of watch collectors you might not come across in your daily life. Guys like John Mayer. In this first video, I sit down with John to talk about how he got into watches, what his first great pieces were, and what's he's been wearing on his latest tour. Since John and I first connected a few years back, I've gotten to know him well via multi-day conversations about double-references, short-lived bezel colors, and what the ideal lume plot should look like. John is as serious a watch lover as anyone I've ever met. In fact, he's downright obsessive. And while
I love this watch and now have one on the way. I saw this a picture of an Exp1 with a NATO nylon strap on it and I think the look is great. Does anyone have one of these and more importantly can someone verify the width of the EXP1 bracelet is 20mm?Thanks R

Hello guys,I don't know how many Omega fans there are here, but I think they've got some excellent watches.Of course, I first saw the Bond Seamaster in a Bond Movie (The World Is Not Enough I believe) and I absolutely loved it! I said to myself: I'll get that one some day. I got a little scared when I saw how much money it would cost me though.Anyway, I now own the Bond Seamaster, but the newer model (quartz version, 2221.80 - go easy on me) and I absolutely love it. When I was at the AD to buy it, I had to choose between the old chronometer and the new quartz. It was pretty difficult. For practical reasons I went for the quartz. I held the watches side by side and noticed they looked pretty different from each other. On the newer model, there are applied markers, you've got the red Seamaster on the dial, there's different case back engraving (like the PO), the waves on the dial look a little different, the hands are slightly longer, the dot on the bezel-triangle is I think somewhat la
