18k Royal Oak with steel parts?
Hi AP family, A fews back, I went to look at a pre-owned solid gold Royal Oak automatic. I was surprised while inspecting it, I noticed it had a steel bracelet clasp mechanism, not gold like my President. Is this factory or could it be a replacement of some kind? If it's factory, I'm curious as to why a fine watch maker like AP would use steel parts in an all gold watch? Does Patek use any steel in the all gold Natilus? I don't recall any markings on this AP clasp. I've always wanted a Royal Oak and this certainly would'nt be a deal breaker, just puzzeling, I guess!?Is this a normal configuration?

Patek 2017 Basel pieces (plus) viewing and some thoughts
I got I try on some real beauties last night at the Patek 2017 Basel pieces viewing, as well as some current production pieces. All were great. A small write-up of each. 5170p (Stunning on the wrist, and extremely comfortable. Great size and weight balance. The gradient blue dial is just perfect. And the baguettes are subtle, and beautiful. Leather Straps - OEM or not?
I am thinking about getting a few alternative strap combinations for my 5235G - will be in Paris shortly so was considering checking out the following three strap makers in person:-.camillefournet/en/eshop/leather-straps.abp-paris.jean-rousseauI am looking to get either a grey or a matte finish blue (a slightly lighter shade than the one that the watch ships with) and / or a special tanned leather in blue (similar to the tanning treatment on Berluti shoes - .berluti/en/heritage-b...n#.VUP7REtmhg0Has anyone had any dealings with any of these three makers - would be good to get views on quality, customer service and value for money.Do Patek themselves offer a number of options for replacement straps - i.e colours that none of the their watches ship with (e.g. grey, green, light blue etc)?

Noob question: Markup for box/papers vs watch only?
Hi guys- been searching for the right pre-owned PAM for a while. Can someone help me understand the deal with finding a watch with box&papers&accesories vs just the watch only?
