I needok so I don't actually need, but you know what I mean, lolto get a new watch.I like classy but understated watchestending more dressy than sporty but something versatile to be suitable for both formal & casual settings. But after procrastinating & looking around the web I am distracted by the JLC Master Control (in SS) , which seems to be around within my budget of a few grand.1) Are JLC considered an understated or ostentatious brand? In terms of brand prestige, is it as respected as Rolex?2) What kind of discount can I expect with JLC? Reasonably generous or minimal? (I would be buying new from an AD of course. I could pay cash if that would get me a better discount.)3) What are typical servicing costs for JLC? Went to my local AD and he mentioned that Panerai is having a price increase on Monday, Oct 1st. I haven't seen a lot of chatter on the web....just one little blog entry somewhere. Has anyone heard of the price hike? Will it just affect certain models or it an an across the board increase?
