Omega 2254.50.00 wrist watches news:
Jaquet Droz has released their donation to the Only Watch auction coming up on November 7, 2015. The unique piece exemplifies what Jaquet Droz is best known for by using the historical technique of paillonné enameling. 1 OF 2 The 43 mm, 18k yellow gold case features a deep red pailloné enameled dial, a technique that was handed down from the goldsmiths of the Renaissance. The motif is created by carefully placing tiny pieces of gold leaf on the dial, followed by the red Grand Feu enamel, which creates the translucent sunburst pattern and intricate trellis-work. 2 OF 2 In addition to the unique dial, the movement features a new silicon spiral, a new material used in the movement of the Petite Heure Minute, and allows for better shock resistance and pressure variations. More information on Jaquet Droz can be found on their website. Additionally, for more information on the Only Watch auction, please click here.
This Seiko has a very early quartz movement 3863A from 1973 and a 'snow flake' dial. I will post pics when I receive it.
Hello everyone!I just joined today hoping to learn about watches and I also wanted to see what other people are interested in. I recently just upgraded from my seiko to a new Breitling. I must say, I can really tell a difference, not just the weight, but the overall quality. I love it and I never take it off. The Breitling watch I chose is the Chronomat 01. It has the two-tone case with mother-of-pearl roman numeral dial and a two-tone pilot bracelet.I have attached the picture to this post.If you just bought a Breitling, or you just want to show one off, post it up! I would love to see what other people chose.
My M6 arrived the other day but it took until today to get some nice shots of it to post up. It was this post that pushed me over the edge, so much so that I even had to go out and get a similar strap for it as well! It is a fabulous watch. The tungsten makes it feel very hefty and solid, and from what I understand tungsten is very hard, making this watch almost scratch-proof. It came on a tan leather strap (which I didn't have time to photograph as well) and a tungsten bracelet. The bracelet is also quite heavy and when it is on really makes you aware of the watch. Some don't like that sensation but I quite enjoyed it, although having that weight every day rather than once in a while might get a bit much. The watch itself just looks beautiful. The polished case just glistens and shines. As I mentioned, having a watch that has the weight of this is a nice feeling to me but will not be to everyone's taste. And the dial is so crisp and easy to read with the usual spectacular lume that I h
