- This is a comfortable and durable watch. I got it on sale, but it's quite the bargain even at full price. I'm buying more as gifts!

Tudor 79380 wrist watches news:
Hi there,Having a watch with a reasonable water resistance rating (120 m in my case) permits me to experiment a bit. Here are the results of this evening. Equipment used: 5 Mpixel camera on tripod; one larger bowl and one small one, on the bottom of the larger one, upside down; running water and of course a watch!Taken with flash, which lights up the entire bowl:The little owl is for slightly tilting the bowl so the water will sort on the back instead of in front of the camera. Taken without flash but with halogen spots from above. I like how the light reveals the pattern of the dial:Here, the crystal reflects everything, this picture is taken from above. You can also see the small bowl at the bottom:This one is taken from the side, trying to find the angle of complete reflection but the AR coating does it's work very well and the dial remains visible:I hope you like them, it was fun taking them.Kind regards,Cinq
Hello to all of you !A nice event of my newly born collection : a Longines machine perfectly working came to me as a present. I was lucky to find a Doxa case that, i hope, temporarily is housing the machine.I am so happy with this new piece of my colection that I will share with you.Could you falks tell me what infos could be gathered regd. this machine?I was told that the original case was a solid gold one that's why dissapeared, probably melted. The machine is a Cal. 12.68Z manual winding , 17 jewels and the nr. is 8984830.CIMG9539.jpgCIMG9540.jpgCIMG9544.jpgWhen dismanteling the dial was severely scratched and deformed. Do you think it could be repaired?Thank you in advance !
Only a few days ago I posted pics of a new strap on my PatekI really loved it and I think I was not the only oneit was this watch / strapI just made a few macro shots ... no not from the watch but this time from the strap. Look at these and tell me how you would rate it. Do realize these are macro shots so imperfections would not come as a surprise. What duo you think about the pattern, the 'character', the finishing of the side, the stitching, the ....Do you think this is real croc or fake ?Is it a cheap, average or expensive strap ?Just curious to know what others thinkDo we have some well informed strap purists who can tell more ?for the fun I added a poll ...

Hello gents! I am about to open Pandora's box and dive into the world of Patek. For my first piece, I would want something iconic and in yellow gold.. I have narrowed down my choices to the 5119J and the 5196J. Just wanted to ask the opinion of the experts as to which Calatrava model best represents the brand. Kinda like what the 5513 is to Rolex (my favorite watch of all time).Cheers and many thanks!!!
