Omega 48334031 wrist watches news:
I was wondering if anyone can help meI have always loved the early Seamasters and Seamaster Devilles but have always been too afraid of buying one on Ebay for fear of buying a dud. Anyhow last weekend I was lucky enough to find a Seamaster 1957 2846 8SC in a little second hand watch shop. It is a non date version with a white/silver dial. I have already replaced the black (non original) strap it came with. Overall it is in nice condition but the dial is faded and in my opinion really brings the overall appearance of the watch down. Its not dreadful but could look so much better. I have been to a few places in town. The general opinion is that I could have the dial repaired for about ?90. Some shops have said that they can send the watch to Omega and a new dial may be available. So what do people suggest. I know Omega made many different Seamasters with loads of dials at around this time but is there a possibility that a new dial could be obtained or is this unlikely? If so what sort of
I'm new to seiko, and its probably a silly question, But, I picked up a seiko kinetic 5m42 it is my first and I was wondering what the pusher function was, the pusher on the one i picked up is fully depressed. the watch is functioning and keeping time. Any info on this model would help, thanks
For all our European members:Has Jacques Lemans' sponsorship of F-1 racing raised the brand profile in Europe? The image/popularity here in the US is slowly on the rise due, mainly, to TV shopping channel sales. However, I find the brand incredibly solid with good fit and finish, especially on its Geneve line, and very good value for money.I'm wearing this today, one of my faves, which made me ask the question.
Naked watches...
Not sure if this qualified to be important to post a thread about it ;) but where it says Swiss Made, Rolex have added a crown symbol between the words. What do you guys think?
