Jaeger-LeCoultre created the first Reverso Duo in 1994 when they replaced the Reverso¡¯s ¡°shield¡± with a second time display. A single movement powered both sets of hands in opposite directions, with each display being independently adjustable. With this stroke, JLC reinvented the GMT watch. The new Grande Reverso Duo is distinguished by its generous dimensions and by a dial design that has been entirely rethought to provide enhanced aesthetics and greater readability. The travel time zone is adjustable via the crown and located on the front side. In order to maintain the precision of the minutes and seconds, the adjustment is performed in one-hour jumps of the hour hand. To make everything user friendly, the date follows the travelers local time display and can jump both forwards and backwards. 2 Walthams have arrived ! ...Need Some Help Though .....
well, here are the first 2 of the group of 8 watches that I bought through ebay last week .......Walthams .....the first is this beauty ....70s I think eh ? ......and it is in fab-u-lous condition ......and keeps good time for more than 24 hours .....paid $35 for it , and I am well pleased ...even the back is immaculatebut then there's the other Waltham and that's where I need the help .....HEre's what it looks like ....and as you can see it is very large even for a watch of it's time ....I'm thinking early 30s ? ....is that right ? and it's clean very very clean .....the quarter in the background is only about 1/2 inch behind it , as I couldn't get the 2 of them closer together than that ......Now, the listing said it was running, but would need to be cleaned .....and that's kind of a run of the mill disclaimer, but this thing only runs for about .ooh say 7 seconds before it stops, when I got the back off, the balance wheel would move freely when I shake the watch, but then it will st

Ladies and Gents,Two recent threads covered, "Servicing Mechanical Watches" started by yours truly and "Like New" started by Ulack...With that said, it's time for my beloved IWC to go into the shop, it's been about 5 years since I bought it ...How much should I expect to spend $$$ to cover the following and what should I expect with regard to turn around time? A: servicing the movement + water resistance test...&B: making it like new (it's in decent condition but could use a touch up)...And if anyone has a solid reccomendation, please let me know Here's a pic of the watch:Thanks, gb
