Huge watch heist in Tokyo - 200 watches stolen, some Rolex. Just saw on local news.
In my local news report, they added that some of the watches were Rolexes. I kind of figured that when they mentioned they were "luxury watches". People who aren't WIS's associate luxury watches with Rolex, just Rolex. Most folks aren't familiar with all the other luxury brands like Patek Philippe, A. Lang and Sohne, Hublot, Blancpain, Glashutte, Breitling, Cartier, Omega, etc Just passing this along in case you may have missed this today in the news. These thieves were pretty bold and resourceful and the police have no witnessesever though the noise must have been pretty loud boring into a concrete wall. APSC for water testing / 3rd year warranty
Morning, I am planning on sending my new to me, pre-loved Diver into Clearwater in the next month or two to have the watch water tested, thus adding an additional year to my warranty. My question is should I have a light polish done at this time. Watch is basicly mint, have to really study it to see any signs of wear. If a light polish is recommended, any idea of cost. Anybody own a solid gold Omega and would like to share pics? I'm really liking the aqua terra in RG. YG looks good too. Looking for a solid gold watch. Rolex is at the top of the list, but these are very impressive.

New 5205g-013 blue dial
Has anyone actually seen, in person, this new 5205 yet? I've seen the website renditions, but wonder how real-to-life they actually are? Case in point: I was very interested in the 5205g-010, until I actually tried one on (that's the one with the darker two-tone grey/blackish dial). I loved the watch, but at my age, could not distinguish the hands or hour markers, as they seemed to blend in with the dial. If that's the case with the new blue dial, I'll have to pass. But if the hands and hour markers really stand out, better than with the two grey models, as seen in the professionally advertised renditions, then I'm in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
