Omega 321.10.42.50.01.001 wrist watches news:
Here is another new Edox watch for 2009, the Grand Ocean Decentrique Date Automatic. If you aren't sure about the "decentrique" part of the name, just see how the face itself is "decentered." Yes, putting the suffix "ique" on just about anything gives you the ability to charge a 10-20% premium when selling it. Its a marketing fact (no its not actually).?? Sarcasm aside, the watch is pretty nice, and gives me the hopes of owning a styling asymmetrical faced watch that I might actually be able to afford someday (you hear that Audemars Piguet Millenary collection?). Actually, the Audemars Piguet watch is not decentered but rather has two elliptical dials that create the appearance of being asymmetric while the watch face is still centered.Like the Edox Grand Ocean Jumping Hour watch that I recently discuss, the Grand Ocean Decentrique shares the same beautifully constructed case in 45mm comprised of a mix of rubber, PVD coated and un coated rose gold plated steel. It is certainly the type
Hi all,This is my first post around here. I recently acquired a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon, which is an automatic. I know most automatics have overwinding clutches to protect them, but I wanted to confirm that this watch does indeed have a mechanism to prevent overwinding. The manual simply says "the crown will not lock when the watch is fully wound." I'm just being extra cautious! Also, does anyone know how many turns of the crown fully wind the watch? Thanks!ottobonn
Does anybody have this watch? I wonder what the size measurement of the case is in mm. I really like the style but I am afraid that it may be too big.
Thanks to TSW for posting pictures of the Rose Gold Grand Prix with the optional Ceramic Bezel. I immediately set out to have the same treatment done to my Forged Carbon Grand Prix and am very pleased! Similarly, I had the date wheel changed to the black with white font. From the second I picked up this watch two and a half years ago, the forged carbon bezel was my biggest complaint when the edges immediately started rubbing off with just my fingers. Over time, the sharp edges of the bezel started looking more and more worn and rounded. Then the new novelties arrived and their ceramic bezels were scratchproof, shiny yet subtle and just upped the classiness of the watches. Fast forward to now, after a long 9 weeks in Clearwater, my issue is finally resolved and the Grand Prix is how it should have always been. The two parts of the bezel now match perfectly with the finish on the top half of the new ceramic bezel the same as the original bottom ceramic half. The completed bezel is I beli
I've seen plenty of very well-loved (scratched and dinged) high-end tool watches out there (mostly Rolex, Omega...)Do any of us have daily driver Pateks that wear battle scars? So often I read how Pateks are mostly pampered watches. I would cringe...er...LOVE to see pics of Pateks with (gasp) IMPERFECTIONS!Or does that just not happen?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
