chemical analysis has proven that not only is there is no gold in the "rose gold" gilt, there is no gold in the "yellow gold" either.That's why I always put the color of the gilt in quotes "".On the other hand the rhodium is not a gilt but rather a plating that is much more resitant to corrosion. Rhodium is also much more expensive.And IMO the rhodium of the 1863 movement and the 35th Anniversary dial go very well together:

Hello to all who read this (and those who do not)!! First off let me introduce myself so you have a slight idea of who I am. My name is Blake, I'm 22, and live in Biloxi, MS. I work as a Table Games Dealer down here Full-Time. My father is big into watches, he has a small collection of about 4 or 5 watches. A few weeks ago he told me that sometime in the future he was going to hand down one of his watches to me. The watch is a two-tone Rolex Oyster Perpetual. I instantly fell in love with it, which he noticed, as he quickly put it back in its case and said "not yet" (ahahaha!) After seeing the watch and a few others of his (Seiko, Lucien Pickard (sp) ) I was hooked. I began to research into the Rolex he showed me which is an Oyster Perpetual, not old but not new. Being a Table Games Dealer I make a decent amount of money for my age and am really good at managing so I decided that for Black Friday I would go out and get my first watch. 1) I typically like a bit of weight to my watches. How much does the 15400 weigh in stainless?2) Is the 15400 robust enough to reasonably handle the day to day wear like a Rolex Submariner can?3) Can anyone recommend an AD in the Toronto area? I'm leaning toward the blue face, do they typically discount and how much.Thx in advance.

After searching a pre-owned market here for a while, I finally got the Speedy Pro Schumaker LE in pristine condition.Immediately I changed the bracelet into a black croco strap, and I love it!Here's the pics!Thanks for the help guys!PS: I'm still awaiting for the speedy meteorite to come in the AD and see what's it's like! Hehee..
