Hello everyone, tomorrow I set off to Florida with all of my finances set up to purchase the watch I've wanted for many years. If you remember me, you'll recall that I plan to purchase a Rolex Submariner no-date. Well, I will be purchasing this watch within the next few days, but I got to thinking: In Naples, there are several AD's plus many very well regarded estate jewelry stores that sell high-end watches. Perhaps something else will catch my eye and when I put it on I will fall in love and change my mind. Has it ever happened to any of you where you walked into a store knowing you were buying a specific watch, only to change your mind and purchase another?I still plan on buying the Submariner, but am going try on the GMT Master II and possibly an Omega Seamaster. So I've been browsing the forums and internet crazily over the past few days and have yet to really find information that I can really believe. So I pose a few questions for you Omega Vets.What makes Omega a special watch?Where are they made in comparison to the Swiss Rule aka 50% and are the main components made in Switzerland and does it really matter. Is there a big difference between the automatic and manual wind watches.. do true Omega buffs look down upon those who have the automatic versions.If there is anything else I should know within the context of these questions that I may have missed, feel free to make note.Thanks a lot.
