Gustafsson & Sj?gren (GoS) Introduce the Stockholm
Swedish watch brand Gustafsson & Sj?gren (GoS) is a partnership between bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and watchmaker Patrik Sj?gren. Together they combine hand-forged Damascus steel and a variety of movements to create unique timepieces in limited numbers. Their newest watch is the Stockholm. Production of the Stockholm is limited to five watches: four pieces with a mother of pearl dial and a single piece with a dial in blue Lapis Lazuli. The dials compliment the rich details of the hand-forged Damascus steel. For these pieces, Johan Gustafsson has achieved a very fine-grained steel with patterns made visible through careful hand-finishing techniques. This series has been produced in cooperation with Fredmans Ur, the GoS retailer in Stockholm.The movement in the Stockholm model is the handwound Alpina 592R from the 1950s. My wife was looking for a bracelet to go with her vintage Elgin and we decided to go with one from forum member Scott (timesofplenty). The final choice was this beautiful Rhodium plated JB Champion bracelet. If we have a best watch and bracelet combo thread I think these pair would be a worthy addition.

Almost ditched my PO for a Rolex
Almost¡­I've loved watches since I was in junior high, and always wanted a Submariner. We made bonus at work this year, so I figured I would finally treat myself to the watch I've always wanted. The only problem was, when I went to the jeweler to try on a new Sub C No Date I was very underwhelmed compared to my Planet Ocean, the Rolex felt like a toy in comparison. I know heavy isn't always good, but the PO (and it's bracelet) just felt rock solid in comparison. I know some complain the PO is too heavy, so it's a matter of taste I guess. The deal breaker for me though was the glossy dial on the Sub C¡­ It just wasn't my cup of tea, maybe it was the jewelry store lighting that accented it, I don't know. Now the Sea Dweller on the other hand was beautiful, I just couldn't justify another $3,000 for a matte dial.So, probably to my wife's relief, I left without my dream watch, and felt even better about my PO. Mid-size quartz Bond/SMP 300 value? & Date Change???
Hi Omega Friends, I have a friend that has a quartz mid-size Bond SMP 300 for sale. He wants $750. There is no box or papers. The watch seems to be in pretty good shape. Is this a fair price? Also, while I was setting the date, I noticed that the date began to change around midnight and didn't finish changing until around 2:00 a.m. Is this normal, or should it 'snap' at a certain time?

Hello, I am in a situation where I can sell my Sub Date for a reasonable price (9200 AU) and purchase a hulk. What are your thoughts on the black vs. green sub? Would i regret selling the classic?If people who have owned both could chime in that would be great :)Kind regards, Steve.
