Omega 31130443201001 wrist watches news:
My fondness for German watch Making is often clear as I make mention to watch makers and designers whose work produces beautiful or utilitarian timepieces. Here we have a rare combined effort of two of Germany's most exclusive had dedicated watch makers. Nivrel is known for their well-made classically simplistic timepieces which perform their functions in an uncluttered and simple execution. Benzinger, using their watch tools and machines from days of old, bring a rare attention to tiny aesthetic detail on each visible part of the watch and movement. This technique called "decorating" or "gilding" uses fine machines and tools to carve patterns on to the surfaces of a watch.Jochen Benzinger performs what is a lost art; the idea of taking the time to decorate the fruit of one's labor. In America especially, during the 19th and early 20th centuries, furniture makers would decorate their creations with patterns, carvings, and delicate attention to detail. Part of the idea was to differenti
Those who are genuinely interested in chronographs long to know every detail about the technical marvels they sport on their wrist.Project 99 ¨C The Race to Develop the World¡¯s First Automatic Chronograph is a series of articles dedicated to the history of its development. I'm not sure if this will get any replies but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm driving from Massachusetts to Vermont tomorrow and would like to stop and check out any interesting watch shops along the way (preferably vintage/antique). Let me know if you guys know any hot spots in the Northeast. Thanks for reading. Take it easy.
Anyone know where I might get one? Or does anyone have an extra they wouldn't mind selling?
I am just now getting back into Panerai after having owned a 005 and a 024 a few years back. To get myself re-acquainted, I went out and grabbed a new 8 movement base Radiomir and Luminor. I actually got the Luminor in a white dial (sacriledge I know) because I knew I would be adding a third Panerai in the near future. Initially I was completely sold on the 305 or 1305. I having seen the 682, I now have a conundrum. I like the 305/1305 partly because I do feel like an Luminor 1950 is best represented at 47mm. Somehow it seems more appropriate. I do not own any titanium pieces and the light weight of the metal has both upsides and drawbacks for me. The 682 is probably more practical as an everyday diver. I like that it's in steel. I worry that at 42mm, it just won't seem very Panerai at that size. My ideal would be a steel Luminor Submersible 1950 case at 44mm, but I am not sure one exists, and if it did, it doesn't have the looks of the 305 or 682. I know I could always get
