Omega 4540.31.00 wrist watches news:
This morning, rumors started flying that Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO of Zenith, will be taking the reins as global CEO of Rolex. Well, we confirmed the rumors with Rolex's Geneva office and they're entirely true! Dufour arrived at Zenith in 2009 after working at Blancpain, Chopard, Ulysse Nardin, and a few other brands, and he is largely responsible for the direction in which Zenith has moved over the last half-decade. He will be the sixth CEO of Rolex (the fourth since 2008) and we are excited to see his impact on The Crown. This is the second huge move among top watch industry executives in as many months, with Jean-Claude Biver having been named head of watchmaking at LVMH effective March 1. Though terms and an official date are forthcoming, Dufour will replace current Rolex CEO Gian Riccardo Marini, who has served since 2011 after acting as director of Rolex Italy. Dufour is friends with and a former colleague of Tudor CEO Philippe Peverelli. We spoke with Dufour
Last month in New York City, TAG Heuer celebrated the launch of their Carrera - Heuer 01 chronograph with a spectacular event featuring new brand ambassador Tom Brady. The Carrera - Heuer 01 is a milestone watch for TAG Heuer. Besides being a manufacture automatic chronograph at a very attractive price, it is a major product launch for the brand's new CEO, Jean-Claude Biver. Recently, HODINKEE caught up with TAG Heuer's Head of Products, Marc Walti, for a technical discussion about the movement in the Carrera - Heuer 01. 1 OF 5 2 OF 5 HODINKEE: How does the Calibre Heuer 01 differ from Calibre 1887? (Note: the TAG Heuer caliber 1887 is manufactured by TAG Heuer, and is derived from a basic design from Seiko Instruments, which uses a tilting pinion design – the latter having been invented by Edouard Heuer in 1887 as an alternative to the lateral clutch system.)TAG HEUER: The base movement for the new Calibre Heuer 01 is the Calibre 1887. Hello all - good to be on here. I have a Planet Ocean 45.5 Orange and am seriously thinking about also buying the PO 45.5 Black - the Orange has the steel bracelet and I bought a black rubber strap but hated it on but think it will look great on the black(which I would buy with a bracelet and change) - - what are your opinions on having both? My other option is to go with a Rolex Submariner but I think it's too small - but this may be because I am used to the big PO and at the end of the day may enjoy the change???.BUT the Rolex is twice the price - would love to hear from anyone who has both PO's or has the Rolex and PO or just has an opinion!!!! Want to do this tomorrow!!The stress.......!
My name is Emerson, I'm a watchoholic, and it's been more than 30 days since my last watch purchase ...Now, seriously I really can't decide what to buy, too many options, so too many confusion...I'm towards the Rolex GMT Master IIc, the Omega Speedmaster with ceramic bezel and the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Caliper...Web pictures, so please don't be too picky The pity is that I don't know where to find them (except for the Rolex), my AD can't bring those other two until 2011 Thoughts?
Since I sold my 2 APs, I needed a daily beater. 5522 is a ways away as is the 5524. So got a call from my AD that he had a piece that my brother wanted but my bro decided to bail. So it looks like it's mine. It's not a Patek by rhymes with Gorex. :)Not a planned purchase but I'll take it.
