Renovated Omega Museum in Biel Reopens
The Omega Museum in Biel reopened on May 3, following several months of renovation. Originally opened in January, 1984, the museum is the oldest dedicated to a single watch brand. Located just opposite Omega¡¯s headquarters in Biel, it features items representing the brand¡¯s entire history, from Louis Brandt’s 160-year-old watchmaker¡¯s bench to the Olympics, moon landings, James Bond, and beyond. Omega president Stephen Urquhart likened the period of renovation to an archaeological dig. ¡°Not only did we renovate the whole museum but we also restored many of the period features of this listed building. OK, here's a question for all you stainless steel Daytona lovers. At what price point do you sell your beloved Daytona's? Say you bought it for $7,900, or even an earlier price like $6,975 or $6,550. The new price with tax is about $10,500. So the pre-owned prices will probably go up a bit (though I doubt too much - they didn't move too far after the large increase in Mar. '08). What would it take for you to sell your Daytona? Is there really a price-tag to sell, or is it like a child - not for sale at any price? Let's hear your thoughts Oh, and just to be clear. First of all, happy new year to you all.May you all wear your beloved Rolex and Ap watches in good health !I'm contemplating to get either models but there are no AP ADs in Brisbane, Australia.My current collection consist of 2 rolexs : GMT IIC and Daytona 116520 ( black dial).Here's my opinions of both models.RO Day Date:very unique with the day date feature whilst maintain that clean 15202 look (minus the seconds hand marker, that is).However, i dont know how it looks as its hard to find a decent wrist shot on the internet. I reckon black would be a better fit for this model.ROC:White dial seems plain and neutral but looks awesome on wrist shots. The problem with ROC is that I feel that its like a Daytona but with a date feature included. I'm pretty sure some members here have flipped the Daytona for a ROC in frustration for the lack of date display. I for one, am not really concerned with it.My Questions consist of :Which model wears bigger on the wrist?IF ROC, Panda or
