- I bought it for my husband for our anniversary and he owns a lot of watches and has three watch cases. This is large and has a clear top to it so he can see which watches he has in there. Loved it.

In responding to another thread I realized I don't know exactly which Seamaster I own. An internet search revealed the 2255 and/or the 2255.80.What's the difference? Thanks.

The time has finally arrived. Time for your humble co-moderator to acquire a modern Hamilton.Last week I battled through seven hours of rainforest, mud, sweat, a little blood and very impressive blisters, following machette-weilding pygmies to get some rock samples. Even had to get paddled across a river in a dug out canoe!! Got five rocks in all this time; after covering 12kms (what's that - about 9 miles?) to do it. That's about 1.5 km/h; about 1 mile an hour. I was drenched from head to knee with sweat and from knee to toe with mud and water.Oh - forgot to mention - the day before we drove 8 hours along atrocious gravel roads to get to site; shook the bejeebers out of me; even took my watch off it was getting such a beating. I'll do the right thing by our forum sponsors and not mention what I was wearing - but in fairness it has been doing a great job.So - over to you guys.....what should I get? Here's the specsMust be a Hamilton - of course!Preferably be automatic.Maximum comp
Good evening sirs and ladies, I am thinking of purchasing a 2nd hand watch that is two toned, but the tone/gold accent is very much faded, is it a good idea to have the gold tone/accent buffed out by my watchmaker to make it more presentable, I believe it also has a rotating solid steel bezel with painted numbers, what kind of paint do they usually use on these?
First up. I barrowed the attached photo from one of the listings in the classified section. Now to the question. I would love to find a seamaster pro that looks like this minus the date. I know most people want the date but it bugs me. Not so much that I just won't have it but I prefer, given my druthers, to not. So can anyone tell me if they make such an animal? Many thanks in advance! And a merry Christmas to you all.
