Omega 121.17.35.50.05.001 wrist watches news:
I am not a collector of Elgin watches, really, but I have already two, both heirloom pieces (Dad's early '50s DeLuxe wristwatch; great grandpa's 1923 pocket watch).Soon to join these in the collection is a very neat steel "tank" from 1932, with original bracelet. Both have a great checkerboard or brick pattern (can't decide which, but probably the latter). Measures a rather slim but long 21 x 39mm. Should arrive in a couple of days.Reportedly has the 15 jewel Elgin grade 484 movement.

I found this watch for sale on the auction site and when I saw the pictures I almost fainted. All I could think of was the word sacrilege!!! I really cannot believe that someone would polish the bezel on a Quantieme Perpetuel like this.
