Devon Steampunk Tread 1 Watch
Destined for near future production, is the Devon Steampunk Tread 1 watch. According to Scott Devon, they wanted to play with steampunk ideas for the Tread 1 as a design study. The customer reaction was so good that production is being fast tracked. This of course is the steampunk styled version of the original Devon Tread 1 that I reviewed here.The final design might change a bit, but these renders will reflect how the final versions will look. I anticipate these being a limited production series which we may see in real life closer to the end of 2012. Devon's designer makes it clear that watches from Romain Jerome (going back to designs from Yvan Arpa, as well as their current Steampunk collection) were a major influence in the design of the Tread 1 Steampunk. At the same time, the larger picture of the industrial revolution and core functional concept of the Tread 1 DNA helped inspired the design.Materials will likely include brass and oxidized metal. New Watch: Victorinox Ambassador Automatic-updated pictures added
Late birthday present from my Uncle. It is a Victorinox Ambassador 241072.-anti-reflective sapphire crystal front and sapphire crystal back-40mm diameter -10mm thick25 jewel automatic, ETA 2834First impressions-like the dark blue dial and the like the day/date locations. The bracelet seems very nice and I like the seamless clasp look. I think my Hamilton Khaki Navy diver has the exact same movement, but the crystal lacks an anti-reflective coating and makes the dial hard to read. Happily, this isn't the case with this watch.

Nautilus advice please
Morning world. I am only a few days into owning the 5712 and I am amazed with it. Absolutely beautiful. I just wanted advice on the bracelet from other owners please. I have previously favoured Rolex sports watches, the glidelock and old GMT straps are perfect as I get hot in the house and then cold when out in the English weather. I got the strap sized at the AD fairly tight thinking I was very hot, but in the house or office it still seems quite tight and the crown tends to irritate a little. Shall I get a link added back in or I believe they do a 1.5 or 1.25? It¡¯s just the AD is a good 2 hours away so not in the doorstep. When my wrist is normal it seems perfect but if I say do a press up position with my wrist the crown digs in and it does seem to nip my hairy wrist quite a bit. Thanks in advance. Andy.
