I was just checking out some of the rolexes on Amazon (hey, they send me emails, I didn't say I was buying one from them).Anyway, some of the user reviews were quite interesting (including the one from someone saying pretty much don't buy a Rolex from Amazon as it could be a franken, and might not be easy to get AD service on it later on, etc).One proud owner of his Sub (not bought on the net but a long time possession) mentioned accuracy as a negative. Check out this quote:On the negative side: it has run consistently fast (about two minutes a month) since the day I bought it. Messing about with the Stolas and my phone last night, managed a decent capture of the impressive lume on the Genoa. I was pretty pleased when I woke up about 7 hours later to still be able to see all markers legible in the dark early this morning. Been a long time
Having just got back from Thailand recently, and haven't posted in a while on the watch forums, I couldn't stay away for long. While in Thailand I almost pulled the trigger on a Seiko limited edition diver with compass function that was a tribute to the 60th bithday to the King of Thailand. I really liked the watch but the store would not negotiate the price to my liking, in Thailand they have prices set for Thais and for Farangs(foriegners), I should have let my wife who is Thai, negotiate for me while I waited outside the store but live and learn. While in Thailand I did check out tons of replicas, although I wouldn't buy a replica having bought a few in my lifetime and know that its a crap shoot, sometimes you get one that will last and other times they will breakdown within a couple months, but they are fun to look at, and you can tell from the replicas which brands are setting the current trends. Of course replicas are dominated by Rolex, Panerais, Patek, Omega, Tag, surprizingly

Watch for my wife
To try to make up for a number of missed gift occasions, I had the idea that I might get my wife an AP RO. She's quite small, so I'm looking at the 33mm or 37mm ROs. However, visiting the AD and taking a look at the models they had left me a bit underwhelmed. Perhaps because it was swaddled in a quick layer of plastic, the 33mm 67650 just looked and felt a bit cheap - also, buying a quartz AP doesn't quite sit right with me. The 37mm 15450 was more appealing, but also didn't really sing to me (mind, I didn't have a chance to check out the new blue dial, which looks great in photos).I'm now thinking I should also take a look at the PP 7118. I would be interested in other members' thoughts on AP ROs for women, the 7118, or suggestions of other brands/models I should be looking at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes. Another opinion on a trade
Hi everyone, Seeking advice and opinions on a trade under consideration. I currently own a silver dial RO and I'm seriously thinking of trading it for a white dial diver. I simply don't find myself giving the RO the wrist time it deserves. I think I'm more comfortable in more sporty models, but I'd still like to have an AP in my collection. My RO is an I series and I'm looking at a mint condition J series diver. The potential deal involves my RO plus cash in the range of $3K-3.5K. Thanks for the feedback,
