I've never used a safe or anything like that. Mind you the most I've ever had of expensive watches at any one time has been three. Beaters and non-runners do not count obviously. Heh, it would take a thief an eternity attempting to turn the place upside down in any event and they'll never find my watches anyway.Do you keep your watches in a safe pals? How would you compare these brands, specifically at the bottom of their lineups?I have a Ball Fireman 43, and while it's pretty plain with no guilloche and painted numerals, I have come to appreciate the fine details like the crown screwing down with the RR vertical. Enough that my Hamilton Khaki appears "cheap" by comparison and I hardly wear it.The wife and I were in Tourneau the other day and saw the new Oris TT1 with DLC case, rubber strap, red gasket. It looks very nice, and the super fast change date is cool. I'm not sure about how the strap connects directly to the case - is it comfortable over long periods? Can other, aftermarket, straps be used?

Rubber B straps for RO...
Not sure if this is common news but Rubber B is now carrying rubber straps for the Royal Oaks. I'm not sure what to make of it...on one hand it's cool to have the extra option but on the other, the RO is all about the bracelet and since it's not water resistant the rubber strap doesn't make as much sense.Anyone have one or plan to try one?

OK ladies and gents,Picked up my Planet Ocean XL Black on Black (orange is not my thing) yesterday from my mail service just over the US border, paid my $5 fee and wore it back over in to Canada with no hassles (this is the 7th watch I have picked up like this) if any of my fellow canuck TFRers want the address for the place just PM me. Bought it from a great guy on Timezone who took very good care of it (I believe him when he says he only wore it a few times)What an excellent watch! Big, solid and tough as nails! The applied markers and Omega logo are just stunning! The crystal has anti-reflective coating and the face has the perfect pitch black colour to allow the broad arrow style hands to be seen in any lighting conditions. This watch glows like a lighthouse at night and it lasts a L-O-N-G time! It fits very comfortably on my wrist and the weight is well distributed. I can't say enough about how comfortable the Seamaster style clasps are and as sturdy as any more expensive brands.
