TAG Heuer CAF2011.BA0815 wrist watches news:
I was wanting some advice on this watch. When I got this watch it was a case and movement(no dial, no hands, no original band). I trusted the source as it was my best friends uncle who was given it by his dad in around 1960. I knew enough about Omega to see it was old and authentic. The picture he had of what he thought he remembered it looking like was a later model with the thick bezel. I knew that wasn't correct just looking at the watch. It had been years since it was taken apart to refurb the dial which was never returned from the watchmaker.Upon sourcing the parts from Omega I got an Omega dial, crystal and hands and had the movement serviced. The bezel insert has proved to be impossible to get.Now to my questions and your opinionsWould you leave the bezel as is and give the watch that slightly unfinished look it currently has, at least to the Omega WIS eye?Have the bezel enameled in solid black as I have seen some vintage ones?Source an expert(expensive) enamel painter and have
GreetingsI was wondering if anyone can comment on visiting Pateks Headquarters in Geneva. I was interested in planning a trip at some point but had some questionsWhat is the best time of the year meaning ( less crowds) Good hotels to stay in Geneva etc etc. ?Also is there a way to get any special treatment being a Patek owner or any type of perks visiting the headquartersThis would be a once in a lifetime trip and any help would be appreciated.I wanted to do this in the next few years and anyone with any experience of visiting Patek or anyone who has travelled to Geneva would be helpfullthanks
Looked down and the lume was shining bright on my Olympic version of the Seamaster Omega from Vancouver. She was shining strong tonight! Enjoy my friends!Aloha from Kauai, Tom
I really want a dual zone watch but need a dress watch more than another casual watch, so leaning away from 5164. Does anyone own, or used to own, a 5134? I'm thinking of buying one from grey market but was hoping to get some feedback as I've never seen it in person. As a secondary question, for those that have seen both, which do you prefer, the 5134p (dauphine hands with skeleton home time hour hand) or the 5134g (traditional black Patek hands with white gold home time hour hand)? Thanks in advance!
