Glashutte gladdens ladies' hearts by the introduction of its new Searamic watch. The timepiece is synonymous to elegance and seduction. The clear white or black dial is completed with four hour markers - Arabic numerals and delicate applied squares. The face is shielded by a mineral crystal.
How can you put the racy spirit of a legendary car like the Cobra CSX2128 into a watch dial? Baume & Mercier, partner to Shelby? since 2015, set itself this very challenge: the Capeland Shelby? Cobra 1963 in tribute to the 12 Hours of Sebring race in 1963. The limited edition (1963 available, of course!) dial bears the racing car's colours: sunburst satin-finish black with two horizontal strips at the base of the dial all shot through with yellow (chronograph seconds hand tip, minute and hour counter hands, tachymeter scale on chapter ring). Two luminescent hands in the centre glide over Breguet Arabic hour numerals and a minute track. The seconds tick down in a counter at 9 and the date stands at 4.30. The self-winding calibre in the 44mm steel case fuels the watch's functions. Price: 3,900 CHF. Sharmila Bertin
I just received an email from Tim, at Bluedail saying that Bluedial was replacing the movement in the Boulton that I received from them. He told me that it appeared that the case had been opened and that effectively "voided" the warranty but they were going to do this anyway. I did open the case to check the battery and so, let this be a warning. I guess that simple thing should not be done. But. in their behalf, they are honoring their grey market warranty. I replied to Tim and asked if in fact the movement that they were going to put back in the watch would be a Hamilton. In fairness to Tim at Bluedial, he has not had time to respond to this question at this writing. I did have an issue with Tim as I emailed him asking about my watch and after 24 hours of no response, emailed him again. He in essence told me there was no reason to email him every day. Not a good responce to a customer. But, it seems all is working to getting a working Boulton in my hands. If, they do as they say, and
This Russell came up in the rotation today. Here's a case of the roman numeral IV instead of IIII being used.
About a year ago, due to some personal family expenses I had to sell my BLNR. I regretted for a good while until 2 weeks ago when I bought a sub c date. A few days ago, I get a call from a trusted seller who I had done business with in the past telling me there¡¯s a BLNR available. He offered me a trade proposal for my sub and after a while, we came to an agreement. I didn¡¯t want to pass up on the BLNR because it¡¯s super hard to get at an AD without waiting a good while.
