- This is a great watch that goes from day to night. I bought this watch to wear with a cocktail dress but find I wear it all the time. It was easy to remove the links at home for a prefect fit. Love it! Great value!

Panerai FER00011 wrist watches news:
Got a grab bag at an antique mall a couple of weeks ago and this was inside. Cleaned it up a little and replaced the battery and ..hey! it still works. I might flip it, might keep it. It definately needs a new band/bracelet/strapThoughts?
Recently on THIS forum I was accused of being 'Left Wing - 'Those favouring extensive/radical reform'. Actually I am, and proud to admit it 'Right wing' - 'Those opposing extensive/radical reform'. I am when it comes to Horology, a 'PURIST' I want all my watches to be as close to their original manufacture as possible. Only 'time' (age it-self) should change a 'vintage watch'So why would a purist but this????:Although the watch dial is original, it HAS been 'refurbished' white paint, also the crown is after market - remember I am a 'purist! - I DETEST these type of changes, so why buy it?Well this watch is a major part of the 'jigsaw' in the history of automatics. It crossed the barrier between below. My 1929 18kt 'MINT' Harwood. Patented in 1924 by John Harwood and attributed to the VERY first mass produced automatic in 1926AND18Kt 1920 HARWOOD - The First Automatic Wrist Watch:watchtalkforums.info/foru...orum/46489.htmWhy? How?Well look again at the Harwood, it uses a very comp
I'm thinking I'd like my next watch to be a bit more 'elegant' than my current collection. I have several divers and chronos, larger dials etc, but nothing that I reach for when I think 'something nice for going out'I have been browsing the net specifically for vintage Omega Constellations but I'm almost certain that I would end up not wearing one because of the size. So, rule number one - I'm probably looking for something 40mm or larger - preowned is not a problem if it's in good condition. This does not have to fit any strict criteria for a 'dress watch' e.g. it could have day/date complications, a moon phase (yeah, useless I know, but I don't mind it), a seconds hand or seconds sub-dial, maybe a power reservebut I don't think all of the above on one dial would work (too busy?).The icing on the cake - gold would be great. Gold plated or capped, I guess, as the 'real deal' won't come under the $1000 budget. It wouldn't be a deal killer if not in gold, it's just a preference. One I think
Helllo everyone,Below is a watch that has been in my wifes family for many years. It is small, only 26mm wide. I believe it is 14k with 8 small diamonds. The face says Acre Breguet. The movement has what looks to be a leaf, no other markings visible on the movement. The case has hallmarks. One is a circle with a crown in the middle. The other is what looks like a star burst with a sword in the middle. Any ideas as to the age and worth?DSC01936.jpgDSC01939.jpgDSC01944.jpg
Hello I hope the Rolex Community can give me some advice please as a newbie.I've owned a few Rolex watches but am looking at getting a new Daytona. Can you tell me why there is such a price increase over RRP and an extensive waiting time for the Daytona 116500LN but I am able to get a new Daytona 116503 for list price in the UK?Also what is the difference in these 2 watches (except price) other than the 116503 is Steel with Yellow Gold?Am I missing something and is the 116500LN ultra rare and the one to own?
