I haven't covered the watch brand Dent in quite some time, but wanted to bring your attention to this attractive chronograph model made by the brand whose name goes back to the maker of London's Big Ben clock. This piece is called the Dent Ministry Chronograph, and while not a totally original design, is very well-proportioned and attractive.The Ministry is a larger range collection for the brand with at least three different model types. The chronograph model has a 43mm wide case with a thick sloped bezel and case. There are rings engraved into the side of the case to help reduce visual mass, and the square chronograph pushers help even out the look.The Ministry Chronograph dial is almost minimalist, but in a very elegant way. Antoine Preziuso Power Inside Unlimited Watch
There is nothing really innovative about this watch aside from the new convoluted way it talks about having a power reserve indicator on the dial. High-end brand Antoine Preziuso makes some interesting stuff, but I can never pronounce the "Preziuso" part of it without sounding like I have something between a speech impediment and a learning disability. It comes out sounding like my tongue spontaneously went numb while trying to speak - another "sorry I am American" moment I guess. This new "Power Inside Unlimited" model is neat looking, but is much more for show than it is for great mechanical appreciation.Speaking of show, "Power Inside" really reminds me of what He-Man used to say, "I have the power!" What Do I Do With Such A Nice Box?
So I bought the watch and now have this amazing box. It's so nice, I can't even remember what my Rolex box looks like. I mean the luxurious look, the feel, the size, the smellI can imagine other manufacturers staking out the ultra high end would offer something similar, but this thing is impressive. Even the box for the box is nice. I have to wonder how much this thing adds to the retail price of every Omega, but I almost don't care, 'cause I like it.I was amused to see the very utilitarian plastic bubble packaging my watch actually arrives in, and that the boxes are shipped to the AD separately. As a result, I suspect many of these boxes never even see a watch. A kind of behind the scenes glimpse into the magicians bag of tricks.Problem is I have a winder, and I feel like it would be a waste to just shove such a nice box in a closet. Need help on this pocket watch
I was at my friends gold shop and a lady walk trying to sell this pocket watch I knew it was worth some thing since it had the power reserve on the dial. Just it been sitting for 40 yrs and stop and runs second at a time and I can't pop the back off . And this lord Elgin and this lady pocket watch. Any help will do this are the pic's. Omega Speedmaster Lunar Dust
One of the new Omega 2014 novelties: .watch-insider/news/ba...ega-novelties/Apparently it's called the Omega Speedmaster Lunar Dust. Going to cost about the same as the Dark Side of The Moon. I have a sneaky suspicion Omega is gunning to do a new ceramic Speedmaster each year, now that they've got the ability to produce a nicely finished ceramic case with pushers etc. I love my DSOTM.Max
