Panerai PAM00298 wrist watches news:
My father-inlaw has an Omega Seamaster from the mid to late 60's, that he got when he graduated from Auburn in 1969. He was a defensive lineman.Anyway, he doesn't wear the watch anymore because it started losing accuracy. I was thinking of having the watch restored for him for his b-day or something. I live near Atlanta, I was wondering if anybody might know of a good place to take the watch to and what I might expect to pay. Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to give.
It takes a 22mm, and I was thinking along the likes of "beads of rice" or a Brietling style semi-polished. Essentially I'd like to have a nice metal bracelet for the PO - needn't be an Omega strap, but I'd certainly welcome that option.Oddly, I'm having a hard time finding decent steel straps through my searches. :( Maybe I'm expecting too much; that there are more out there than there really are. :(I do need a longer length, as standard straps are often too short for my 8.5" wrist.Thoughts on where to find some?

Yesterday I had to travel to Sydney, so I took the opportunity to drop in my Heuer Autavia and Longines Dolce Vita in for a service and to call in to a few ADs for some serious drooling! The first one I visited was Watches Of Switzerland. The first watch I had a look at there was an IWC Pilot's Chronograph (reference IW371701). It was a great watch, I had liked the pictures of it and it was just as nice on. A nice size, felt good and looked fabulous. I asked the sales assistant about the movement, whether it was based on a Valjoux 7750 and she had no idea what I was even talking about. Just mumbled and looked confused, couldn't even say that she didn't know but would find out. But then a "real" sales person swooped in to answer and stuck with me for the rest of my visit. While I was drooling over the IWCs I also tried on 2 Portuguese. The chrono (reference IW371438) and the automatic with power reserve (reference IW500101). These were both beautiful watches and felt fabulous on. I love b
OK, guys. We've had a lot of new members join the family of late, and the question I have for some of them (nudge, nudge, wink, wink I'm talking to you, mr. banned) is what's the story behind your avatars.I'll start with the discussion by telling you that I chose Dr. Hunter S. Thompson as my avatar because he's my journalistic hero, and his writings make me LMAO!So what's the story behind your avatar?
