Panerai Panerai 15219 wrist watches news:
Thanks to Dennis, I have decided not to sell my first heirloom, and therefore I have restored itand thank to all who provided the directions for finding spare parts (speciall Ulackfocus and N2FHL for their advice)From there, I have digged in all my old relatives' drawers, to see what I find, and the findings continue So, some pics of the "new" watchesOmega Constellation f300 restored and fully working (first heirloom)Technos Pioneer, with new braceletAccutron Spaceview, now working great, with a new battery installed, and a good adjustment and fully servicedNew find: Seiko 5 AutomaticNew find: Longines Conquest, looking for a new strap...New find: Bulova Computron, this is the weirdest watch I haveIt seems like a robot head looking for a new strap, because it's bracelet is peeled off...With the dial offWith the dial onWell, that's for now, I will be adding more pics, once I have all the vintage and heirlooms restored and fullly functional...
Had a Christmas party to go to the other night and, uncharacteristically, wore a suit.I normally prefer larger dive-style watches, but thought this occasion called for a more reserved, classier look:This is my WTF LTD. I bought one back when they were made, but sold it when some hard times hit. This one was gifted to me by a very generous member who wasn't giving it any wrist time. Admittedly, I wasn't, either. Wearing it the other day, though, reminded me how much I like it, so it's going to be put into the regular rotation:
Any suggestions as to where I can source an OE black rubber strap/buckle for an Omega SMP 300M reference 212.30.41.20.01.002? Appreciate any help.
Hi,I am looking at a new Omega SMP 300M Chronometer with black ceramic bezel. Beautiful watch and the price seems right new at around $3,200.00.Here is my question. The older Omega Seamaster Professional's seem to sell for closer to $1,500 - $2,000. Can I expect to lose $1K in depreciation in 1-3 years on an Omega? I guess that seems a high depreciation rate, is that why I should consider a Rolex Sub or Explorer?Appreciate your thoughts on this.
I just read a post on another forum from a watchmaker who recently sent a 119 year old Patek Phillipe 14k pocket watch back to Geneva for an estimate to repair it. As you probably know, PP will repair any watch they've ever sold, for a price. The estimate came back at $13,000.00 with an ETA of approximately 40 MONTHS!!! Kinda makes a Rolex $500 - $600 service seem like a bargain, huh?
